Just called the NVC and got my case number... 7th business day. Yippy. Rep said my case was entered in the system yesterday and not sure when it was going to be sent to my home country embassy. So exiceted. Patience and persistence is very important on this journey. Best of luck everyone!

Does anyone know how recent the police record has to be for the Dominican Republic? My fiance got his police record in September so does he need to go and get an updated one before the interview? He does not have any criminal history so it has not changed.

My understanding is that it should not be more than 30 days. But it could be wrong. If I find out any further info I will provide you with the source.

Call this number and ask them (703) 988-3410

You guys should just kick back and relax, you are still within the standard processing times, some people received theirs within 30 days, others longer, you are both at 34 days, and the current average processing time for NOA2 from NOA1 at the CSC is 42 days.

Thanks!!!

On both mine and Christina's Fiance's police report, it says it has a 3 month expiration date on the actual form, so you would need a new one for the Dominican if the last one obtained was in September, but we don't know what the consulate is looking for, one issued within 30 days? That I can't answer
