Hi guys, noticed a few people who were concerned about the delay on NOA 2, for those who received NOA 1 around December 21.

We were also starting to panic, given that we hadn't heard anything and we had the same timeframe, but we received our physical NOA 2 through the regular mail today. However, our online records still aren't reflecting this, hence why we were starting to worry something had gone wrong.

I guess what I'm saying is check your post, and that the online may not be indicative of the actual status at the moment as they don't seem to be updating them frequently for some files. Hope this helps to calm a few nerves :)

Just wanted to give a heads up to everyone waiting on their NOA2's still. I had been sitting here panicking that we'd get an RFE because our NOA1 date was on 12/21/2015 and everyone else before and after us seemed to get their approvals last week via whatever online notice they were using.

Today in the mail we received our hard copy of the NOA2 dated on 2/4/2016 but the USCIS website still shows that our case was received on 12/17/2015. It appears that someone in the CA office hasn't been updating the website so you could be in the same boat as us. Luckily USPS was quick delivery despite the snowfall we've gotten in NY.

Thanks! Yeah I'm in England, so it'll be the US side that'll receive it snail mail, if it's the same issue. Are you with the California centre?

Yep! California service centre! I know, it's going very slow but I'm hopeful! Next steps for you guys now! How exciting!?

Yessssss guys, keep the faith rolling! both my app and the USCIS say that my case was received, but just like the other 2 above me, I check my mail and bam there's my NOA2 hard copy, with an approval date of 2-4-15. I almost started crying because I was sure it was an RFE. I feel like finally the cases are rolling in! Good luck everybody, the approvals ARE coming ! :)

Mr. Greenbaum,

While still anxiously waiting for our NOA2, my fiance discovered a mistake in our application

She discovered that the 1 of the letter in the street name is wrong (i.e.) 1234 To Minh (is the correct) but instead it's 1234 To Ninh. the N instead of the M.

The reason was her ID and driver license was incorrect ( 1234 To Ninh) but on birth certificate and everything else is 1234 To Minh. I sent mail using 1234 To Ninh and she get is without delay or problem, I also don't think their is a address 1234 To Ninh any where in her city. Do you think is make a lot of different when they review and do background check for the application?

What should i do now, call up USCIS and make that correction NOW, which can push my application reviewing time longer (i assume because of infomation change )

Wait for NOA2, or RFE (hope fully not)?

If I received the NOA2 should I wait and call NVC to make correction their, or wait until it arrive at the embassy and make correction? What do you think best?

Thank you for your input

If you sent the 129F with the correct address 99.9% sure it is correct. They have people who transpose address' to send mail and sometimes they can make a mistake. Just keep checking your documents and if you see a pattern that everything is address wrong then you will need to go in and make an address change. For now, it's not a big deal.

Can you please finish your profile so others can see what visa you are chasing and what country you will be processing through. This sometimes is needed information to help you with your question. Simple steps to change your profile; Select your picture>Edit Your Profile located under your picture and scroll to the bottom of that page to "immigration profile" and you will see "Immigration Status". Use the drop down box to choose your visa type. Then save and that's now complete.

Thanks

The length of processing is determine by a number of factors; your country, your personal background, family etc. No two people are the same so the length of time varies. Normal processing is 30 to 45 days but I have see it go upwards and beyond 6 months.

2 1/2 years ago when my wife processed it took us just over 90 days. Be lucky it's not running on the timetable. This is a game of patience. Those who have the most will be much more relaxed. There is anyone here that doesn't want to be with there lover, so in that respect we are all the same.
