Once you have your case approved, you can complete the DS-160. You don't have to wait for your case to be ready. Just bring the print out of the confirmation page with the bar code to your interview.

Got email notification yesterday confirming that they have received our petition dated Dec 4, 2015.

We are now waiting for the receipt notice for the next step which I guess is NOA1 :rolleyes:

Got my hard copy of NOA1 in my mailbox when I got home from work this evening! NOA2 here we come.

Keep the updates coming everyone and good luck to all. It would be great to see some December filers get NOA2 before Christmas and or New Years.

Well of course the guideline at the bottom of my time table is 100% accurate so when it says December 27th to the 30th I know that we will all but done by then! :)

Well, after a couple delays and several checks and paperwork order shuffles, I finally got our I-129F to the Lewisville lockbox yesterday. Here's hoping to a quick journey! :)

Our Timeline (click the button!):


06/12/15 - Met online and started talking
09/25/15 - She came to the US on holidays, decided to spend a weekend to meet me in Texas.
10/02/15 - I must have done something right, since she came back the next weekend too! :whistle:
10/05/15 - Sadly, she had to return to China for work. We keep talking.
11/12/15 - I leave to visit her in Shanghai. A very beautiful city, if I do say so myself.

11/16/15 - My turn to leave for work. :(

12/10/15 - I-129F sent to USCIS lockbox.

12/16/15 - NOA1 email received.

12/21/15 - NOA1 hardcopy received.

01/21/16 - NOA2 email & text received. 36 days processing time!

01/25/16 - NOA2 hardcopy received.

02/03/16 - NVC received (date uncertain?)/GUZ # assigned

02/04/16 - Sent to Guangzhou embassy

02/07/16 - She's come to visit for CNY :dancing:

02/20/16 - Our holidays together are over *sigh*. Back to waiting...

03/11/16 - Packet 3 received.

03/13/16 - Packet 3 returned.

03/18/16 - Packet 4 received.

04/21/16 - Interview at GZ - Approved! :luv:

04/23/16 - I have to return to work...back to waiting for her visa to arrive.

We sent our package on 12/7/2015 (USPS Express), delivered on 12/8/2015 and got NOA1 (text and email) today. I am glad we are also routed to the California Service Center.

Anytime you get a text message/e-notification then you need not be worried because your file is moving along. The hard copy will follow shortly. This is a game of who can wait the longest and those who can are "winners who take all". :clock: You need patience. Your just starting out on your journey. :)

Have you registered at myUSCIS.com? If not you should as it will make it that much easier because you'll see the actual approval there and screen print what you need.
