Our case showed ready at the Bangkok, Thailand Embassy on Friday 1/29. We sent packet 3 on Saturday 1/30 and it was signed for on Sunday 1/31. My fiance received the email with packet 4 instructions and her interview date Tuesday 2/2 at 4pm local time for Thailand. Her interview is 2/18 at 10am and she has already scheduled her medical for this Friday.

Everything is happening so fast now! Best of luck for everyone, things move as fast or as slow as you go once you get NOA2.

Is there away to find out if my attorney did my pkg 3 ?

If you have your NVC number which begins with BNK you can check it at the link on this page. If they sent it your appointment date will show on this page within a couple of days. It took us 2. Good luck! http://bangkok.usembassy.gov/immigrant_visas/scheduled-appointments.html

Packet 3 is the collection of documents that the Beneficiary will need to submit to the Embassy once it hits that stage. The required documents are generally specific by each country, but usually there are similar required documents.

Each Embassy will want:

1. I-134 Affidavit of Support ( as well as Tax Transcripts from the Petitioner)

2. Police Records

3. Medical Examination (some doctors have the Beneficiary bring it with them to the interview, Most send it directly to the Embassy themselves)

4. Passport style photos

5. Copy of the DS-160 if done electronically (or the DS-160 form if not available electronically)

6. Proof of payment for the DS-160 if done electronically (or the payment itself if the electronic DS-160 is not available)

There are other things that will be required, but as mentioned each Embassy will be different. I already have a list of what I need, because someone who very recently went through the process at GUZ provided a copy of the Packet 3 requirements for China. You can check your regional Sub-Forums to see if anyone has a recent copy of the Packet 3 requirements if you wish to get a headstart.

Please note, some things you don't want too much of a headstart on (ie. Medical Exam), but others you do want to get a headstart on (ie. Police Records, Court Records, and any other requirements that they may have that you can start to prepare in advance)

Here is what you may find in the Dominican Republic Packet 3 requirements http://santodomingo.usembassy.gov/k1-k2_instructions.html

But others have reported the requirements on the website are similar, but not exact to the Instructions sent by mail to the Beneficiary, so expect some things to be different.

****EDIT****

I reviewed the Regional Subforums for Mexico, Latin America, and South America, people report there is no Packet 3 delivered for the DR, and you need to follow the instructions on the website I linked above.

Thanks. I was a lil worried for a second. Awesome!!'
