Heads up folks.

Was just on the tracker app and found a petition literally 2 numbers before mine and one ONE AFTER approved.

My NOA1 was the 29th.

Stay positive.

Patience and staying positive pays off! I was settling for a long journey when I started the process then found VJ and I was suprised to see how fast things could move! So yeah keep yourself busy and don't check the tracker too often it will only drive your anxiety to the max. Best of luck everyone! Edited by Kenia~N~Jeury

You should prepare I-130f affidavit Of support and letter how you met and chat. Examples online

All of that is already done, and on it's way to her, I'm just trying to figure out if we should wait for the case to depart NVC and head to GUZ before trying to schedule the interview, or if we can start doing that now.

When you go to the nvc status check and it says your case is ready to schedule an interview, you can start the ds160 online but make sure to save and let her finish it in her country . Go online and look up ds 160 , there's a lot of YouTube step by step. Next pay for the interview/ visa. Look up forums in your fiancé country .

Just got our RFE today. They are missing the letter of intent to marry. Now I checked the master rfe list, and they all say re sent with a wet signature.

I can get this in the mail tomorrow morning, if I can submit a copy of the letter. Or should I wait till the end of February when we see each other again to get a original?

The rfe does not specify either way, just says a statement. We have no wedding plans, but do have the receipt for her engagement ring. Anyone?

All you need is a letter stating that you and your fiance will marry within 90 days of your fiance's entry to the US. (Please make sure to send two letters: one with your name and signature and another with your fiance's). I would not send the "copy" version. Although it is difficult to tell whether it is a copy or wet signature, you do not want to take another risk. Please send the original with a wet signature. You can ask your fiance to mail (express) it to you or you can wait till the end of February but personally I don't want to delay my k1-visa process. Good luck with your journey!!

She's waiting for the paperwork to arrive in GUZ before doing the DS-160 as well.

Just have it done before the interview date.... Seems you got everything in order but also have her check the forums in her home country to see people going through the same process as her to get more in more info.

where can you tracker your case number and see who is b4 you or shows even when it is getting close to your number thanks what app

USCIS Case Tracker & Searcher by Stephen Aldous

https://appsto.re/us/2CF82.i

This is the app I use. Be aware that searching for the I-129F only works on the iPad version.

You can search up to a range of 500 case numbers but be careful doing too many searches in a short span.

I've had my ip blocked a couple times (they do unblock in a couple days) for excessive searching.

What is package 3? What's the documents at included? Is this specific by country?

Packet 3 is the collection of documents that the Beneficiary will need to submit to the Embassy once it hits that stage. The required documents are generally specific by each country, but usually there are similar required documents.

Each Embassy will want:

1. I-134 Affidavit of Support ( as well as Tax Transcripts from the Petitioner)

2. Police Records

3. Medical Examination (some doctors have the Beneficiary bring it with them to the interview, Most send it directly to the Embassy themselves)

4. Passport style photos

5. Copy of the DS-160 if done electronically (or the DS-160 form if not available electronically)

6. Proof of payment for the DS-160 if done electronically (or the payment itself if the electronic DS-160 is not available)

There are other things that will be required, but as mentioned each Embassy will be different. I already have a list of what I need, because someone who very recently went through the process at GUZ provided a copy of the Packet 3 requirements for China. You can check your regional Sub-Forums to see if anyone has a recent copy of the Packet 3 requirements if you wish to get a headstart.

Please note, some things you don't want too much of a headstart on (ie. Medical Exam), but others you do want to get a headstart on (ie. Police Records, Court Records, and any other requirements that they may have that you can start to prepare in advance)

Here is what you may find in the Dominican Republic Packet 3 requirements http://santodomingo.usembassy.gov/k1-k2_instructions.html

But others have reported the requirements on the website are similar, but not exact to the Instructions sent by mail to the Beneficiary, so expect some things to be different.

****EDIT****

I reviewed the Regional Subforums for Mexico, Latin America, and South America, people report there is no Packet 3 delivered for the DR, and you need to follow the instructions on the website I linked above.
