i hope that they will not ask me for my tax returns as i do not work anymore and have my SSD at 46 and do not have to pay tax on that but i do in fact own 3 houses with no mortgage i no that it says you can only use the primary house that you live in. So as for the house i live in it is worth over 250,000 no payments and i do own 4 cars no car payments and do have a checking account of more then 10,000 so i am hoping that they accept the assets with no problems.

Sorry I am confused. Accept assets for what?

I'll get right on that

Requesting your criminal history from the police is just a requirement of the K-1 process, but an NOA1 or NOA2 is not required to obtain your criminal history, a person could have many reasons for wanting to obtain this information. Just follow Greenbaum's link on how to obtain it, She can obtain this information now if she wanted, regardless of NOA1 or NOA2, just remember that if you get an RFE or any other set backs, you may need to obtain a new Police Record closer to your interview date. The Certificate for Australia is valid for 12 months from issue, but the Embassy may want it to be issued within just a few months of the interview. Someone from Australia that has already gone through the process may have a bit more information on this.

Hi, everyone!

I sent off the I-129F initial packet to the USCIS Lewisville, TX Lockbox mid-December for my Honduran fiancé and me, and I got an email on Christmas Eve that it was received at the CVC on 21 December (lucky us!). Our physical NOA1 receipt was received in the mail on 4 January.

Quick question: Are the NOA1 and NOA2 dates based on the date the email notifications give you, or when you receive the emails/physical receipts in the mail? In our case, is my fiancé's and my NOA1 date 21 December or 4 January? I want to make sure because I'm currently in Honduras visiting my fiancé, so I will have to make international calls to the NVC to get our case number ASAP in order to track our packet once we get our NOA2...I plan on doing this because I have two friends who just went through the K-1 process last year, and they almost missed their interview because they never received their Packet 3.

Thank you all in advance for any help you can give me! If anyone hasn't already checked it out, the "Life as Mrs. Presson" page (www.mrspresson.com) has been EXTREMELY helpful in addition to VJ! Her journey as described on her page is very Philippines-specific, but she also includes additional information regarding the standard visa process. VERY THOROUGH!

All best,

The future Mrs. Ramon Seibel

How do we know if the embassy received the pkg3 because my attorney prepared it for me, they have been quiet for about a week now. After the embassy received my pkg, how long to get an interview date? Just wondering !

The NOA1 date you go by is on the physical notification you got in the mail. It's on the top left corner.

That's the date you go by.

From what I've researched, you can call the NVC at this number: +1 (603) 334-0700 to find our your case number, unless you already have it. Using that case number, you can track down your packet online at the following website: https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx

I've been following the website "Life as Mrs. Presson" (www.mrspresson.com), and the page that will specifically help you right now is as follows: http://www.mrspresson.com/immigration/129f-fiancee-petition-process/nvc-ceac-status-tracker/

Scroll down to the part titled "How do I know if our petition / case is already at my Fiancé(e)'s consulate?" I hope this information helps!

All best,

The future Mrs. Ramon Seibel
