Quick question to clear up a little confusion.

According to my NOA1 paper, it says it's the 29th BUT when I check my status on the app or on the official site, it says received on the 23rd.

Now. Have I been waiting 31 days or 37??

Fully understanding that I still have to wait either way Hahahaha

On the NOA1 there is a notice date... That's your date.. The app tells u when they received the petition. In your case it was the 23rd and the 29th is your notice date. To my understanding you start the count based on the notice date. Hope we all hear soon!

Once you have your case approved, you can complete the DS-160. You don't have to wait for your case to be ready. Just bring the print out of the confirmation page with the bar code to your interview.

The case right before mine got a response!!!! I'm sooooooooooooo impatient. Does being able to track progress make things better or worse?!

03/22/2016 - Sent in Packet 3 and scheduled interview before being sent Packet 4

 

03/23/2016 - Got sent Packet 4

 

04/05/2016 - Medical Interview in Vancouver

 

04/12/2016 - INTERVIEW DATE AT CONSULATE in Vancouver

 

04/12/2016 - APPROVED!!!!!!!!! Visa in 5-7 Days!!

 

04/15/2016 - VISA IN HAND

09/01/2016 - Received Texts with MSC Receipt #s (cannot look them up at USCIS)

 

10/25/2016 - AED says "New Card is Being Produced". AP says "Case was Approved". AOS says "Case is Ready to be Scheduled for an Interview".

 

10/31/2016 - Received hard copy of AP in mail.

 

11/05/2016 - Received Employment Authorization in mail.

We weren't missing anything I just thought as we met online originally we would maybe get an RFE reguarding the site we met on(okcupid) as other people got RFEs to request more evidence to ensure it was a free site not a marriage broker.

I met my fiance on okcupid but i did not get an RFE :) and hopefully you won't get too!

July 12, 2016 - EAD & AP case was received
July 22, 2016 - I-485 Fingerprint Fee was received
July 26, 2016 - Electronic text & email received at 12:20midnight
July 26, 2016 - Check has been cashed out at 4:00am
July 29, 2016 - AOS, EAD & AP NOA1s hardcopy received
August 05, 2016 - Biometric Appointment Letter received (it was sent on 2nd Aug)
August 15, 2016 - Biometric Successfully Done within 20 minutes at Southpoint Jacksonville
September 21, 2016 - EAD and AP APPROVED via USCIS case status (Sept. 21 in the morning, EAD status was "NEW CARD BEING PRODUCED" and same day in the evening EAD and AP = APPROVED :dancing: )
September 26, 2016 - EAD and AP Approval Notice Hardcopies Received by Mailbox
October 5, 2016 - EAD case changed to CARD WAS MAILED
October 11, 2016 - Combo Card (EAD/AP) status changed to CARD WAS DELIVERED TO YOU BY THE POST OFFICE
October 11, 2016 - Combo Card received :) when I checked our mailbox at 4pm
October 12, 2016 - Went to SS Office and changed my name to married name
**No Interview for I485 :dancing::idea::dancing:
November 17, 2016 - Green Card status APPROVED and in the afternoon it changed to NEW CARD IS BEING PRODUCED :dancing:
November 23, 2016 - Card was mailed to me
November 25, 2016 - Card was picked up by USPS

Packet 4 (Interview): March 14, 2016 (I have received a call from US Consul Specialist & she informed me about my interview)

Interview Date: March 17, 2016 at 3:00pm (APPROVED)

Visa Issued: March 21, 2016

Visa Received (On Hand): March 21, 2016 at 1:30pm (US Consul called me to pick up my passport/visa between 1:00-1:30pm)

so they sent you a email saying that it was going to be rfe did you have enough evedence

Yeah I get a text that my case was updated and when I went to check I got a RFE. I sent a lot of info flights pictures not phone calls cause I use calling cards so I don't really dial direct to him.

Just got email and text that my petition is getting an RFE (NOA Dec 7th) :cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry: . Hope to get the notice soon; to start gathering documents needed, I wish there was a way to know what they might want.

Hopefully, It's something simple :) It probably is something small as you say you've sent lots of evidence over. Don't worry about it, it will get sorted and soon be approved. Whatever it is, you can fix it! Just remember that :)

06/30/2016- We got married!! (L)

07/19/2016 - Sent AOS, EAD, AP documents in the post with 2 day priority USPS

07/28/2016 - Package delivered very late as was delayed somewhere in transit

08/09/2016 - Text and email notifications starting at 12.41am (texts came first and then email).

08/12/2016 - Get 3 NOA's in the post with the filing date 07/29/2016 and the NOA date 08/05/2016

08/19/2016 - Get biometrics appointment letter in the post. Scheduled for 08/29/2016 at 1:00pm

08/29/2016 - Biometrics appointment done - quick and easy!

10/13/2016 - EAD and AP approved!
10/27/2016 - EAD status updated to "Card Mailed To Me".
10/31/2016 - EAD/AP combo card received in mail.

02/04/2017 - I-485 case status goes straight to "Card is being Produced" (Approved without interview). 

02/06/2017 - I-485 case status changes to "Case Approved"

02/07/2017 - I-485 case status changes to "Card was Mailed to Me".

Congratulations!

Our NOA1 date is 30 December - it's good to see them progressing through the December files so hopefully we will be approved in the next 2-3 weeks. I'm just grateful we applied at the time we did and our application was sent to CSC.

My NOA1 date was December 3. NOA2 date was January 8 and i got My case Numbers around January 15. We'be been doing as much as we can around his work schedule but are finally ready to schedule the interview and medical exams today. I'll let you know how this part of the progress goes. My goal is within three weeks to have the interview. We are ready to be together!

Has anyone with noa2 dated on or prior to january 19 had their file received in NVC and got their case numbers?

Thanks! We called NVC yesterday but nothing yet. The operator said our case isnt yet in the computer. Our noa1 was dec 9, noa2 january 19. Im kinda thinking to call nvc again this morning hoping our luck to get our case number.
