Once you have your case approved, you can complete the DS-160. You don't have to wait for your case to be ready. Just bring the print out of the confirmation page with the bar code to your interview.

Just have some patience. The problem is that you are checking the website too much and you are making yourself crazy. Stop and just get on with your life and you will be soon surprised with your approval.

Calling only clogs the lines for others who may have a more pressing issue.

Understand that the petitioners that are here are such a small fraction of the petitions they go through. I just did a search of around 10,000 numbers and the VAST majority of them even for the early weeks of December have yet to be updated with anything.

A few RFE's mailed.

A few Approvals.

A few returned for unsigned docs.

Most of the rejected are insufficient funds,

A few rejected for "improperly filed", which may be a blanket statement for its just not good.

I'm as nervous as anyone but just try to relax.

I'm just patiently waiting, (probably won't hear anything until mid- February) but congrats to everybody else who has gotten their noa2's. & to everybody who is stressing out, just relax and take the earlier advice given. Posting your anxiety is contagious lol just go start working towards the next process or something? I have my fingers crossed that everybody gets them soon. Hurry Up & Wait is a terrible thing, but that's just part of it

My NOA1 arrived the day after yours so I'm hoping it's similar. Hoping next week but most likely a week after or one more even.

Yehey!!! I just checked the status of our case and its changed to "APPROVED" ???

What's the next step? Do I need to tell to my fiance (petitioner) to wait for the hard copy that USCIS will send to him as its written there the next step? I have read from this website that we need to call NVC? But why we need to call NVC? Are we going to get another/different case number? what else are the requirements that we need to prepare?

You can call NVC and get your case number and with it you may be able to speed your processing along but each Embassy Is different so work with your Embassy. Hey guys I've gotten my NVC notice and am working on scheduling the interview, medical exams, ds-160s etc. but I do have a question that hopefully someone can shed some light on. We are wanting to bring my fiances son over. Not right away but within the allotted year. What kind of documentation so we need from the mother in order to be in compliance with the Dominican Republic laws? I know it's a long shot that somebody here may know, but I'm not able to find a straight answer online and anxious for any help. Thanks! Christina
