How old is your fiancée's Daughter?? I am petitioning for my fiancée and his 6 year old son.. I am also considered that his mother will give us a hard time once everything is approved..

She is 5. I am hoping she doesn't try to be difficult.

Hey all. I've been seeing conflicting info reading so many threads (maybe I should stop reading so much).

I included all my proof of ongoing relationship and proof of seeing each other) with my petition. I've seen other info that says they only want that when you go for your interview.

I also included my divorce decrees with my petition but I'm also seeing posts that conflict with that as well.

What's the deal? I guess there's no harm in sending too much stuff, is there? I thought all that was supposed to be in the petition.

You and I both need to stop reading so much, we do however need to get our noa2s lol. I was told I have too much proof, but a lot of people get RFEs for not enough, so damned if you do, damned if you don't. I think you are better safe than sorry

Well, I COULD have printed out all 4,372 pages of text messages I had but I figure 30 out of that was plenty haha

I'm Crossing my fingers and toes that she (BabyMother) doesn't change her mind at the end.. I've been buying my soon to be step son clothes, shoes, Spiderman Bedding (his favorite Super hero) and Easy to Learn English Books.. I want him to feel as comfortable has possible in his new home.. Its going to be a Learning Experience for all of us.. I do Love my Fiancée and I'm Praying for the best.. Can't Wait to see them both Next Month.. (L)(L)

Aaaawww thats so sweet. I have a daughter just a few months younger than my soon to be other daughter (sorry I don't like the technical term -Step-). So they have a lot of things and common and they can't wait to me with each other and neither can't I. I am saying them next month too. I am so excited but this anxiety waiting on NOA2 or RFE is driving crazy. But don't worry everything will be alright. It is all about love and patience! Best of luck!

I'm getting ahead of myself, but for those who have already received the noa2, is the standard wait time a 10 day wait to call and get the case number? Or is it usually a longer time frame?

It really depends, some exceeded from 10 days, how to justify? I do this method everytime.

Go to your Timeline

Click show similar timelimes

Common Visa Timelines

Select K1

Then scroll down to filter your area

Select your service center

And select Dominican Republic

Then hit "Filter"

Then try to compare and analyze.

I checked DR and found out some are less than 10 days, some are within a month.

I suggest to not expect too much to avoid conflicts. That's why it's important to always update your timeline so atleast we can all have guidance. That's the purpose of VJ anyway! ?

1800-375-5283 national customer service center. You can find it through USCIS Webiste. Goodluck!

Thanks! My fiance called earlier this morning. He wasn't told we're on "red flag" status instead was advised to wait cause we're still on normal processing time frame for CSC which is 5 mos. I'm really going nuts over this waiting phase ?
