So, I have a really silly question... On the app and website it says they received my case on 16/12. I only received the NOA1 on 21/12 by email and text. On 27/12 I received the NOA1 hardcopy and it says notice date 18/12. Which date is the correct NOA1date?

11/12/2015 - Sent petition
16/12/2015 - USCIS received petition
18/12/2015 - NOA1 date According to NOA1 hardcopy
21/12/2015 - Received NOA1 email and text
27/12/2015 - Received NOA1 hardcopy
28/01/2016 - NOA2
10/02/2016 - Got NVC case number

That is correct, your NOA1 date would be 12/21. 12/16 is when the packet was received by the Lockbox.

My NOA1 was 12/07, but my Case status said it was received 12/03. 12/03 was when it was signed for at the Lockbox.

I thought the same thing at first, then, here in VJ I read that the correct date would be the Notice date, then that the correct date would be the date that is shown on the app...so I'm lost, lol.

I didn't see the bottom where your Hardcopy had 12/18 on it. 12/18 is your NOA1 date.

My fiancé, being a nervous type, is concerned about the process.

Question: if your petition was going to be RFE'd would that happen before the time it would be at the approval timeline date or before as they're processing it?

I assume that they're going through everything right now.

I see no reason for ours to be denied or even sent back but I'd like to put her mind at ease that that things are probably going as normal. As most of us in the late-December group, we should be hearing something in the first week or two of February.

Anyone have insight as to how they look at the petitions?

RFE would be sent before your NOA2 only if they need more proof. For me, i prefer to get RFE because it shows that they're really validating your docs. But as I observed (reading from everyone's timeline) after you suffice the required docs, it seems pretty fast. Just make sure to send them ASAP. In my case, I was worried that we might get RFE because my fiance only provided the photo of his passport stamp going to my country and 5 photos of us together with different months. I thought they would require us more like chat conv, face time log and such and yet we recvd our NOA2 W/o RFE.. So i guess theres nothing to be worried. ?

Im now getting uneasy. Dec 9 is our noa1 and accdg to vj processing time csc is currently processing dec 10 noa1. We surpassed the estimated vj timeline thats supposedly we'll be adjudicated between jan 17-19. I know it is a case to case basis but im going nuts... Should we really call the customer service and follow up??? Help anyone.

Same sentiments here :( I am planning to call customer service.. I've read that one member called and got their noa2 the next day(well maybe just a coincidence, but it wouldn't hurt to give it a try I guess) What is your plan?

Sure try to call! We did call also 3 days prior to our NOA2. We were told to wait since it's on red flag status but then by friday 1/15 we got our NOA2 approved.:-)

I am thinking ahead (crossing finger for approval soon to start getting things ready) but anyone can tell me if my fiance's daughter mother would have to sign any official document needed for the interview etc. she is a very difficult person to work with and I really would like to be ready to request what is needed from her to allow the kid get the visa with her dad if approved.

How old is your fiancée's Daughter?? I am petitioning for my fiancée and his 6 year old son.. I am also considered that his mother will give us a hard time once everything is approved..

I'm getting ahead of myself, but for those who have already received the noa2, is the standard wait time a 10 day wait to call and get the case number? Or is it usually a longer time frame?
