:( I guess I don't follow instructions well, I addressed it to USCIS.

And do NOT write "Dept." no matter how small your checks are as I did. It will come back to you

It MUST be Department

Probably the main reasons petitions are sent back are something unsigned or a check error (amount or abbreviation).

Do you know how long it will take them to return the check? Should I just send another check since I know it will be returned?

If they're sending it back to you, it will be by snail mail and I was TOLD about 10 days.

I've been waiting 17. I still don't know what's going on with my petition. I was just told if I don't get it back in 30, to call then. They can't do anything until then.

Do NOT just send another check. You just have to do the process.

Well, I got an answer from lockbox support just now:

Bad news is they lost my petition. ?

Good news is I got SOME news and I can just resend another right away on Monday. I have it ready to go!!

They lose them sometimes apparently!

Here's what I got:

Unfortunately, we have found no record to show that your filing was received by the Lockbox. If a payment provided with the application has now been cashed, please reply to provide a copy of the front and back of the cashed check or money order or the bank account and routing number, and the date when the money was withdrawn, as we can try to track your submission by researching any payment we may have received.

If a payment that you had included with your application still has not been cashed, you may consider refiling. The current version of the I-129F form as well as instructions for filing can be found on the USCIS web

Back to square one!!

"Attn: I-129F

2501 South State Highway 121 Business

Suite 400

Lewisville, TX 75067" i saw both options on the website, didn't know which was better, I assumed the actual address in Lewisville Texas, but I am new to all of this

I'm glad you received a reply. Not the one you wanted just do what you said and send another. I would have your bank void the original check. Good luck.

Those two addresses are for two different things. The P. O. Box is for if you send it by regular mail.

The Lewisville one is for Express Mail or FedEx.

Be careful

So if i send my application in using

USPS Flat Rate Priority Mail (2 - 3 Business Day) which address should i send to

If you send it in your mailbox you do the p.o.box address I think..... And if you go to the post office and do express mail with FedEx you send it to the Lewisville Texas address. Can somebody who has done this confirm?

The USCIS Dallas Lockbox

For U.S. Postal Service:

USCIS

P.O. Box 660151

Dallas, TX 75266

For Express mail and courier deliveries:

USCIS

Attn: I-129F

2501 South State Highway 121 Business

Suite 400

Lewisville, TX 75067

source here: http://www.uscis.gov/forms/direct-filing-addresses-form-i-129f-petition-alien-fiancee

So I'm assume if send via USPS then use:

USCIS

P.O. Box 660151

Dallas, TX 75266

If Fedex, UPS, DHL then this address:

USCIS

Attn: I-129F

2501 South State Highway 121 Business

Suite 400

Lewisville, TX 75067

Can some one confirm

Timeline

I'd like to add that there is a way to put your timeline so that it is visible each time you submit a reply or question. If you see below in my "signature box" is items that I have entered. Here are the instructions. Experiment and have fun.

Go up to the far right and click on your name

Select "my profile"

Under your picture on the right side column select "edit my profile"

Go down the list and select "signature"

Next screen there are two boxes over each other one says "My current signature" and the bottom box says "Edit Signature"

Go down to the lower box and begin to design your "signature"

Most use it for putting their timeline so others can quickly see which stage they are in.

Have fun.

Thanks, I was wondering how to do that. I followed the steps you described, and our timeline is now included. Thanks again!
