Good to know we're not the only ones still waiting, even if it sucks for all of us of course. :S

By mid June they should update what case they are up to. If after the update it shows a date past the date they received your case, then it is considered past normal processing time. Good luck

Well, it says 5 months for 1-129f on their webpage under processing times and we're past that, so we're outside normal processing time. That's also the same info we got when calling them, that's why we can get extra help locating our file now.

Hey folks! Grats to all those with NOA2! have faith those who have not. We got our NOA2 March 2, 2016 on my way back from a 2nd visit. I think they were waiting to see if i went for second visit before clearing NOA2 but eh.... Sooooo ... the nature of confusion. When Starting this process, my fiancee T and I talked about the option of going to Laos for her interview as her mother lives close Vientiane and her home far from crazy busy Bangkok. She chose going to Laos. It took 60 days for Laos embassy to acknowledge receipt of our application... but they did woohoo. They had good communication and sent out instructions to both of us. Looking good so far....

Boom... fiancee says she thought a bit and talked to other thai and now wants the interview in Bangkok. omg.....

I am good with her decision as we get one shot and she must be comfortable. She probably knows more now than i do...

I just meekly and apologetically requested the Laos Embassy to transfer the application to Bangkok but not reply in thai day.

Regrettably, we (I) created a visatraveldocs/la account and now we cant make a visatraveldocs/th account as the system shoots the login right to Lao. doh....

that the status... We are anxious but no massive rush. I get to go Thailand again in August...maybe to be at interview if this transfer thing not too much of a quagmire. Good luck all.

Scandi, can you tell me what you're doing for extra help locating your file? I've heard about contacting congressman or writing inquiry to uscis, actually I was unable to submit the inquiry even though it's been more than 5 months. How about you?

This is so new to us as this is the first day we could even do anything but wait, so we haven't tried more than one thing this far. We called the USCIS and got the information that all Tier2 are too busy atm, so instead we got to leave all our information and someone from a local office will call back within 5 days with more info about our case.

If that doesn't do any good we'll do the infopass so we get to talk to someone face-to-face at the local office.

I see. Thank you. Info pass by me in New York has no available dates so I don't have that option. Well, good luck. Hopefully we hear something soon.

So Tier2 got back to us today, which was faster than we expected. We now have a service request with a service request number and they'll get back to us within two weeks about any updates to our case. At least it's being looked into now, we'll see if it leads anywhere.
