We received the NOA1 hardcopy today and my fiancé's (petitoner) surname is misspelled on the second line after the "c/o" Instead of "MACAISA" it was spelled to "MACIASA". Should we be worried?

I made a video of everything that I put into my packet. I plan on sending this packet off in the morning or on Monday (if my mother's copy of birth certificate isn't sufficient)

I'm going to attach the link to my youtube video below. If anybody is bored or has time, could somebody give me some kind of feedback as to whether or not I have done everything correctly?

Thanks in advance!!

Everything's good, no point in having it in a binder though, just use paper clips, and those big black clips.

They'll just throw everything in the binder away and keep you petition, they'll organize it the way they want. Also proof of ongoing relationship isn't really need until you send the copy of the petition to your intended, though it doesn't hurt. I'm sure other member can chime in.

No affidavit of support?

I agree about the binder and pages thing. Thorough but if I was the one receiving all that, it would just piss me off haha

Were you married before? Proof of divorce? Not sure it's necessary anyway.

Affidavit of support isn't need until NOA2 is received and she send the petition copy to her fiancee. At least from what I have read. Though I'd start collecting that stuff now, bank statements, work letter, w-2, pays tabs etc..

My mistake. I was getting ahead of myself.

Question though. If you've been divorced, do you need to put any proof of divorce in the petition (such as court docs) or will they just check that out anyway?

Thank you all for the input, I'll change the binder into clips, I thought it would be easier in a binder. Neither me or my fiance have been married, it's stated in the g325's, but should I make an attachment stating that somewhere else?

No, it's not necessary. It's already on the form.

Here's the link:

Few things:

1. Your copy of passport: It should be copy of ALL PAGES. Also, make sure it is issued with a validity of at least 5 years (Please see the requirement below:)

- Copy of the Birth certificate (front and back) for the US Citizen or a copy of ALL pages of the US Citizen's passport issued with a validity of at least 5 years or a copy of the US Citizen's naturalization certificate (front and back). This is used to establish citizenship.

2. Your Passport-style photos for Form G-325A (you and your fiance)

I may be wrong but i think your photo size is bigger than the standard passport type photo. (it should be 2 x 2 inches). I read that some people received RFE because they submitted wrong photo size. Again, I may be wrong but please double check your passport-type photo

OK I saw your video again, and I definitely think you need to have a new photo. The requirement said: the photos must have white background. I don't see the white background,

I would just go to CVS or Walgreens and take a picture again. It took 5 min and costs ~$12.

Since it would be tricky for your fiance, i would ask him to send you the digital file (as long as it has white background) and bring it to CVS and ask them to print passport type photo.

Good luck!!

We've got the same timeline :)

Here's to a speedy approval!

It seems that VJ's estimated approval date keeps changing on my timeline.

First it estimated an approval 12/31 to 01/03/2016

then 01/03/2016 to 01/06/2016...

Now it shows 01/06/2016 to 01/09/2016.. I wonder if this is due to the holidays or all these cases being sent to CSC is finally catching up

Regardless, still way better than TSC..

Good Luck!
