To my fellas here who will attend K1 fiance visa at the US Embassy Manila. I just got approved today by a woman american consulate. It took only 5 mins interview. She only asked me 1. How and when did we meet and 2. How many times he visited me. When I said 10 times since nov 2014 she made a (WOW) expression then she let me go. She didn't take our I-134 and my police clearance, I wonder why because we didn't include it on I-129 packet. She only look on our photos that I brought extra then gave it back to me. The Filipino and American consulate are very nice to everyone. Just keep smiling all the time. I came inside 7am for my 7:30am appointment and finished by 10:05am. Waiting for my turn is much more longer than the interview. Overall, I had a great experience. Goodluck to everyone! ?

When I try to sign up on the consulate website in Mexico for my interview and fee, it brings me to the immigrant visa site. Is this common for the k1? I was under the assumption that it suppose to be non immigrant so I'm just confused on that

NVC received it!!!!!! No case number yet. I'll give it a few days before I start calling.

As a K1, when checking your case online at CEAC you have to select "immigrant visa" as it is treated like as such even though it is a "non-immigrant visa". Don't ask why, as no one has been able to articulate why!

This maybe the same situation you are facing with scheduling your interview. Try it and see what happens otherwise call the Embassy.

How can one tell when NVC receives it?

First, don't begin calling for 10 business days after you get your text message (NOA2). Second, you will need the Petitioner's and Beneficiaries full name and date of birth.

Call 603-334-0700 Press 1 for English... Press 5 to get an operator. Be prepared for a wait. Tell the operator that you are requesting a case number for your K-1. They will ask for the receipt number located on the left top of your I-797 (NOA2) form. Then he/she will either tell you that they have not received your case or you will be asked for the names and date of birth. If they don't have the case, you will be told it can take 30 to 45 days for them to receive it and to wait however many days/weeks and call back. You can call back the next day or as often as you want. NVC's hours are 7am to 12 am (midnight) eastern time. Monday through Friday except Federal Holidays. Calling early or late is the best plan.

When you have your case number, enter it here https://ceac.state.g...ker/status.aspx and it will tell you one of three things... At NVC, In Transit, or Ready.

this morning i didn't called, I waited until after noon then call, without any waiting a a female reps. Pick up and ask for case number, after i gave it to her she ask me for Beneficiary date of birth, name and petitioner name.

she gave me the case number and invoice number. I ask her when they received it, she said it was received yesterday. I called late yesterday but it wasn't in the system, i guess they just enter it in this morning.

She told me it will take about 3 days for NVC to forward it to embassy.

I called Call 603-334-0700 Press 1 for English then 2. I usually called around 7:30 AM EST, or 7 PM EST, just 1 to 2 mins wait sometime instantly answer

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to say that all the wait is really worth it! My fiancé had his interview yesterday and hearing the CO say that everything was ok, that we just needed to wait for the visa, was everything!

Wow Congrats !! That's an impressive timeline in speed we are very similar and still waiting for packet 4.....Go Brazil !
