Hello everyone! My US fiance is filing out I-134 and we have some questions. For "relationship to sponsor", should he put "Fiancee" (if beneficiary is a female). For Item 11, should he check "intend" or "do not intend to make specific contributions to the support of the person(s) named in item 3".

And also, for the Oath or Affirmation of Sponsor, what to put there?

At the top of THIS page, there is a tab for "example forms" and there is one for the i-134. Just fill it out as it is on that example.

Black ink is the preferred way that the US Government wants documents to be signed. You get a much better scan from black then other colors that is their reasoning for requesting it to be in black.

The letter DOES NOT have to be original with a wet signature. The letter can be scanned and emailed then printed for submittal.

ok i just got the email and printed it out it looks good but it still looks like a scanned copy but if you say its ok then im going to send it in and the passport photo i am sending again is of her and they say they need 2x2 photo of face and it is they also say it has to have plain white back ground and it is also but just alittle off white becasue anyone from the phippines knows that these are little shops all around and they never clean thier back drops i hope they dont mind that it is alittle off white

Look like thing is going a little slow at NVC right now. Today is the 10th days since NOA2. I called them this morning but they said it not yet received, and informed me it could take up to 35 days for USCIS to forward it. I guess I have to call them every morning from now on until I have a case number. I called them early when they open so I lm able to speak to them immediately after getting passed the menu

You need to give them 10 Business Days, but I don't count the day that the NOA2 was generated because they are usually Generated late at night. So by those standards today is only the 9th Business day. Try calling again tomorrow, and if they don't have it then, call again wednesday, keep calling each day.

This is getting confusing. So the bio father is divorced from the bio mother and he is remarrying and immigrating to the US with his new fiancé.... do I have that correct"

If that's the case then I believe the child should be with the mother and the door left open if the mother later on wants to let her immigrate to the US as a K2.

Yes. I understand that the child should be with mom but at first she agreed to let the daughter go thru the process and migrate with the dad and I.. Now all the sudden she changed her mind. So far what I see is that the child to her might be a golden ticket.. May God forgive me but this lady comes across as a gold digger.. Please excuse me for venting.

I investigated and we pretty much can't get the visa fee back. It is good for a year from payment date and we we have that option to do follow to join and if the mom decides then that she agrees to let her daughter come live with us then yeah. If not then too bad. Since she had a changed of heart I am praying she will have a reserve changed again. Staying positive. Just worried if this affects my fiance's process but apparently it won't. So let's see. Interview is still 4 weeks away

@Chris

Yes I'm ahead of myself. If I get the case number this week I'm happy.

Normally how long does it take for NVC to forward the case to the consulate after you have the case number.

Once they receive it, it takes about 4-5 days to process and send to the embassy

I received my case number the day it was assigned and two days later, it was "In Transit".

Hmm, I am wondering, is it necessary to bring new "letter of intent" if there is no requirement for that on the embassy website?

If there is no requirement on their website for the necessary documents for the interview then you don't have to provide it. It's Embassy specific item.

Yes. Two things I was told to absolutely have (for Australia anyway) were the new letters of intent and original divorce decrees (if needed).

It doesn't have those listed on the site for Oz either.

 Nope. The letter of intent is Embassy specific for the interview. The Philippines Embassy does not require it.

I know it can heart breaking when plans change and you have no control over it. Just remember the one who has the gold makes the rules. If she is a gold digger then I feel rather confident you will handle it with and eye for what she really is.

I wish you all the best.
