Alaska2012 if u were in m shoes u will understand so if u dont have anything to say dont. Scheduled appt for almost 2months n a week to interview u call? Not even an email to say its professional. A call?

You are overreacting with your "corruption" claims.

This has nothing to do with corruption.

It is common for the Accra embassy to reach people through phone calls since most Ghanaians communicate through phone calls than emails or post mails.

With the "dumsor" situation in Ghana and the unreliable postal service, be glad there's another alternative.

The "professional" old school way would have been snail mail and you know how it is in Ghana.

Have your partner call back to confirm that . And follow-up with an email.

But yeah, they do call quite often.you just have to confirm to sure it came from the embassy.

I suggest the moderators remove this thread. How can you claim an embassy is corrupt without being able to explain why it is corrupt? or you just don't understand the word 'corrupted?

You have to be the change you want to see, so I want to do an official petition to review practices at the embassy in Ghana. I was talking with a friend who used to work in D.C. for a government office and she said she would draft the petition for me. I want to be do an official petition to the US government to review the practices at the embassy in Ghana. Do you all think it would receive the 100,000 signatures to receive a official response?

This doesn't really seems legit. They usually send a letter. When my husband first applied there was a guy who worked for the embassy who tried to shake us down. Saying he knew someone in the office who could help us. I do not think it's beyond corruptible or they wouldn't rotate out staff.
