Interview delay due to non-travelling child?

Managed to get a response from the embassy regarding my interview. Apparently they've delayed scheduling as they had not received the medical report for my 17 year old son who is NOT applying for a visa!

I filled in the child section on the original I-129 form which seems to have triggered them assuming he was included on the application. On the DS-160 I stated he was not included on the application & had also emailed them regarding having to supply his birth certificate even though he wasn't applying for a visa which they confirmed I would need to.

Has anyone eise experienced this or know if it will trigger any issues later on?

My husband had children in that age range when we went through the process. He listed their name on all forms and did not indicate they wanted a visa. Their names appreared on the interview letter below his name. They didn't attend, he didn't provide their birth certificates, and their was never a problem after. He's a citizen now and we're done with immigration.

(In 2008, we didn't have to have medical results in before they would assign an interview.)

Looks like there's progress..... CEAC case checker has been updated today & is now showing just the one case number, the 02 case number has dropped off which I now presume was for my son!

Yay, interview letter arrived today. 11th Jan, fits perfectly as I'm not allowed to book any days off work from next week till 8th Jan ?

Nick: I was going to add the data to the medical-interview post but wasn't sure whether it was a worthwhile reflection given the GP referral delay? If you feel it's worth putting on there then it's 13 weeks & 2 days.
