Hello All,

After filling K1 visa petition I found that in Canada K1 visa interview take place either at Vancouver or Montreal US consulate office. I live in Alberta and I am on study visa (full time study program) when we send the forms we wrote that fiance will apply for visa at Calgary office so my question is interview will take place automatically at Vancouver or we need to change the location and how we can change it?

Other thing, on US consulates Vancouver website it says that it process K1 visa interview for Canadian citizen and PR holder so does it mean that study permit holder has to go to Montreal? is it ?

Thank you for your help guys.

~~moved to the Canada regional forum from K1 process and procedures as topic is about where to interview in Canada~~

A K1 can go to Vancouver or Montreal, but because the person is located in Alberta, they would go to Vancouver automatically. You confirm this when you get your DOS number from the NVC (national visa center) because it should start with VAC. If the number starts with MTL it's being sent to the wrong spot.
