Hi,

I just received the Request for Initial Evidence saying that they see that it's been stated that the sponsor makes enough money, but that no evidence was filed.

We have already filed everything that they were mentioning in the letter. Every single thing and some extras. The only thing we can think of is his taxes and W2 don't show enough money, because he started working in October 2014, and before that we were in college.

But his employment letter states $50,000 and the bank statements and pay stubs.

We were thinking mailing everything again followed by the cover letter that explains what's going on....

If anyone has any advice, it would be awesome!

Thanks!

Same thing happened to us, no taxes showed my husbands income (apart from mine which was not high enough anyway).

Did you send all of your pay slips and statements?

I would send in a cover letter stating that he started work in October 2014 therefore hasn't filed taxes yet. Show an employment letter on company letterhead, signed by the big boss which has his salary, his start date, and that his employment is permanent, all pay stubs and all bank statements.

Thank you for your response!

We sent all of that initially. I guess this time we will include the cover letter explaining the situation. I guess we thought that it is logical, if he started working in October that his taxes are not going to show that. We sent all the bank statements and the pay stubs too tho.

I am just scared if cover letter was enough. But I can't think of anything else that might help.

Yeah I know, but sometimes uscis doesn't make any sense haha. Plus it isn't that they just want to see the income, they want to see that they have a stable income (but you said it has been almost 1 year in the job) so you should be fine and it is long enough. My husband at the time of filing we both just graduated, and they wouldn't accept ours because he had only worked 2 months, we even sent in more pay stubs later but they still RFE'd us.
