We will have our AOS Interview on April 16th in Atlanta, GA and I just wanted to get some feedback from people who have gone through the process. I have gathered the following supporting items:

1. Joint Bank Statements

2. Joint Auto Insurance

3. Life Insurance policy (spouse as beneficiary)

4. Joint Cable Television Bills

5. Joint Telephone Bills

6. Receipts of some joint assets (furnitures)

7. Joint Magazine subscriptions

8. Lots of Pictures

9. Copies of all AOS Original applications filed with Originals of all the supporting documents

10. Employment Letters and Pay Stubs

11. 2006 Tax return (filed as Married filling seperate)

We decided to file our taxes as Married filling seperate because we've been married for less than 5 months, I own my business ( S- Corporation) and my business expenses and income are a little complicated. But we both make way above the poverty limit (70k/year). I hope this will not pose any problem.

We do not have any lease agreement as I have bought the house we live in before we got married. Other utilities companies will not add her name to the existing accounts but I was able to get the ones listed above done.

I hope this items will be enough evidence.

Looks good to me. Good luck! Our interview was fairly painless. Just remember to smile and not be nervous. Be polite, dress nice, assemble your paperwork in an orderly fashion. We bought a folder to keep everything in and I think the officer we had appreciated that. Sometimes notarised letters from family members or people in the community that say they know you to be a genuinely married couple are helpful, but I wouldn't go that far if you have a pretty straightforward case. :)

I spent a considerable amount of time gathering documents similar to yours. Turned out the only thing asked for was our most recent tax return which they placed in our file. Nothing else at all. They didn't even want to see the nice photo album we prepared.
