The difference is that a few of the older generation consider a loss of that privilege as an infringement on their rights - they are old, white, republican; and quite positively angry - all the time.

There are many white people out there who are not afraid, nor do we feel our rights are being taken away by being made available to others.

blm has white support, especially from the youngsters. in my experience younger people typically have a better grasp of concepts such as white privilege and institutional racism than older folks do.

i think it pisses older white folks off because they feel it diminishes the efforts they've put in. like a white person doesn't have to sacrifice or work hard because they're white so everything's been handed to them. that isn't what white privilege is.

In the convoluted world of endless VJ race-baiting "white" means "non-black" unless extremely dark skinned people do things that bad non-black people also do so they are de-blacked and as they are de-blacked they are also "white"

So "white" ranges from very dark-skinned bad people (example slaveholders in Ethiopia) to all other "non-black" UNLESS a very dark-skinned person does something bad and his/her bad actions can be twisted into making that person into a victim or martyr or can be placed on the shoulders of an unrelated white person (such as when a very dark skinned person shoots up a bus stop but it is because the majority white NRA doesn't allow gun control in a faraway state) and then / only then may that very dark-skinned remain black. It is RARE that unrelated white people cannot be found to shoulder blame so it's all good.

Conclusion: Save yourself some time. Just say 2 white guys.

I guess we have to make room since there's been about 50 threads about the "niceties" of Islam since last Friday. But that's the breaks, black people posting about race is race baiting, white people who talk about it or "de-blacking", it's pertinent to the discussion.
