Hello everyone,

I tried to search for some thread as mine, but I got a little bit confused, so I just decided to open one to clarify my doubts.

I would like to get my husband (US citizen) last name, but I would like also my Maiden name to appear in my IDs.

Like "My name-Maiden name-Lastname"

Is it possible? Even to put my maiden name as Middle name. I would like to let it appear still in my documents and IDs.

Thank you to everyone who will be so kind to answer.

Im not sure what her answer will be but I would think for the ease of your future in filling out forms in the US, put it as your middle name. Many forms do not offer a lot of room so two last names might not be as fun as it sounds!

Yeap, my wife is Filipino, and when they marry, they use their maiden name as their legal middle name (when taking their husband's last name). Her maiden name is now used as her legal middle name on all her documents.

Just be sure if you go this route that you do so on your AoS application should you want your green card to read your maiden name as your middle name.

In my state, they ask how you want your last name. If yours is the same just put Smith Jones (for example) there. Our state then transfers that to the certificate.

Or canI dropp one of my last name and keep one as my middle name when filling AOS form?
