Shopping? Na, i am for re-use.

I put out an electronic query for thin dlp monitors with ethernet port, got 14 arranged for free.

Why? 3 for me, the rest for a group of veterans at my school. Have sprinter van, will travel!

In a thrilling update to previous: Pep Boys is off my list, not only now but permanently, grrrr man.

I found a $5-off-$25 coupon for Family Dollar (also open all day Thurs.), presuming that FD has anything that I would want to buy. I like Dollar General a lot better.

Point taken, but some of it depends on time of day. Mrs. T-B.'s Best Buy extravaganza came at 3 p.m. -- the store was borderline-mobbed, but we quickly found parking and were in & out in 23 minutes.

On Saturday, I found a garage sale, bought a T-shirt for $2, and commended the lady for her wisdom in scheduling a GS on a day when she'd have no competition from others.

I also went to my favorite resale shop, where I bought a tie for $2 and a shirt with dinosaurs on it for Mini-B. (half-price = $1).

Mrs. T-B. disappeared for 2+ hours in the eve, and she was vague about expenses (an ominous sign). She did say, "I'll put some of it back," sigh man.

I have seen enough horror stories on the news to avoid stores on Black Friday, I usually just send the husband to get whats good :devil: this year though, I decided to go the cyber Monday route, ordered 3 tablets that were on sale, I believe $20 off reg store price. I am sure my kids will enjoy them Christmas morning. Tomorrow I will set them up and get them on lockdown with parental controls, should be fun (not) since I am not very tech savvy.

I learned about Black Friday in 2004. I had never heard of it before that. I was on my way to work and I decided to stop at Walmart to get a 9V battery for my smoke alarm. I never made it into the store. I spent about an hour and a half trying to get out of the parking lot and arrived an hour late for work.

I don't even leave the house on Black Friday anymore unless I can't avoid it.
