Sen. Gillibrand: Don't Report Sex Crime to the Police

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) doesn’t want people reporting crimes to the police.

On Monday night, Gillibrand lauded efforts by national fraternities and sororities to pull their support for a controversial campus sexual assault bill known as the Campus Safe Act.

The Campus Safe Act would prohibit colleges from investigating sexual assault cases as student conduct violations unless the alleged victim also reported the incident to law enforcement.

Gillibrand then said, “We must reform how colleges handle sexual assault cases but requiring survivors to report their assaults to police is the wrong approach.”

Instead, Gillibrand would rather a college bureaucracy deal with sexual assault on campuses on its own.

Gillibrand has been a crusader for the cause of abolishing due process for people who are accused of sexual assault.

She notably invited pretend-rape-victim-turned-porn-actress, “Mattress Girl” Emma Sulkowicz, to the 2015 State of the Union.

With the lack of leadership discipline being shown by many colleges these days I believe police involvement should be mandatory for any type of crime on campus that would normally result in police involvement off campus.
