K1 - marriage / honeymoon

Hopefully someone can help.

I entered the U.S on the 11th November at JFK and have a wedding planned for the 9th December.

We have a honeymoon planned for the 10th December in Florida.

Due to the time between the wedding and the honeymoon I won't have a marriage certificate nor would I be able to apply for AOS.

My questions are

Will I encounter any problems travelling within the U.S?

What documents should I take with me?

1) Nope.

2) If flying, you just need some sort of government issued ID -- doesn't necessarily have to be a passport but, in your case it would be best

Beautiful thing about state borders here in the US, youre not leaving the country just the state so regular ID or Passport if he/she doesn't have one yet.

More than likely you will not even be asked to present it anywhere but to pick up tickets.

With the approximately 4 weeks btwn POE and marriage, you might consider applying for a SSN at a local SSA office prior to the marriage, even if you intend to change your last name during/after your wedding. Two reasons for doing this in advance...

First, it's best to have a SSN, in hand, even if your name change is in progress, to allow you to work as soon as possible.

Second, it's another form of identification which has many uses, especially if you're going to have joint finances, like bank accounts, insurance, etc.
