That second point you mentioned is incorrect, I believe.

OP sounds like he is just trying to use hardship as a way to overcome the requirements of having met within the past two years.

"You met each other, in person, at least once within 2 years of filing your petition. There are two exceptions that require a waiver:

1. If the requirement to meet would violate strict and long-established customs of your or your fiancé(e)’s foreign culture or social practice.

2. If you prove that the requirement to meet would result in extreme hardship to you."

There are times where someone would have to prove that not being with someone is causing extreme hardship, but not when you are trying to overcome the meeting requirement specifically.

I could be wrong though!

You are correct. :)

That said, I had broken my neck twice and my back once. The hand of God is what is allowing me to walk I am certain. However, my mobility comes at a price. I have so many herniated disks, that i get great pain that lays me out for like a week if I travel too long. In order to meet my wife, also Filipino we tried the Tourist visa path first. When she was denied, I made up my mind to go visit her in Singapore. We both chose Singapore because we both had never been there, and it is one of the many places she can go without a visa. To make a long story short, I saved up my money and credit card miles and bought a first class ticket. The seating was wonderful as it had full bed recline, and my back was not killing me after the trip.

My point is, like you, I do not know the extent of the OP's disabilities, but maybe flying first class would help?

I'd like to take this time to thank every one of you for your responses! Some very good ideas and points made, and after making a phone call to the USCIS I know what needs to be done.. I made up my mind that I NEED to go to see her in her home country, as the above poster (Mike-eee & Odie) mentioned, I can possibly travel 1st class.

Temporary discomfort and pain can bring me a LIFETIME of pleasure and happiness with my beloved Jocelyn!!!

Thanks again for all the help.. J
