Hi,

I filed the I-129F for my spouse a while ago and keep checking on the USCIS website for updates.

Interestingly, I had filed the I-130 at the California Service Center but my I-129F ended up in the Vermont Service Center, which makes me a bit concerned that there was an error and the form went to the wrong place. Also, on the website it shows "Form Title" as "PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)", instead of "PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)/SPOUSE". I know the form is the same for both K1 and K3, but just out of paranoia I want to make sure that the same title shows for all of you folks who filed the I-129F for their spouses too. Could you check and let me know?

Thanks so much,

Current status: In the US on a K3, about to file I485

Our I-129F was listed as "PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)" as well. It's somewhat unusual that they sent your I-130 and I-129F to different service centers. I don't know if it was a mistake or if they are now sending more I-129Fs to Vermont because they have a faster turnover rate than California. I doubt it will affect processing, though, beyond the fact that your I-129F will most likely be processed much more quickly in Vermont. :)

PS :time: It helps us all in the long run. :)
