IR-1/IR-2 Visa urgent request?

Hi all,

I am a USC petitioner that is applying IR-1/IR-2 Visa for my wife and daughter (3 years old)

Just that last week my wife's case is completed in NVC, however my daughter got a RFE (I only know that by making calls, didn't receive any emails/mails about that) that they will need a i-864w instead of i-864 for her.

I had just sent in the i-864w for my daughter, may I know does it also take a month for them to review it?

Is it possible to request for a supervisor review before 30 days? Or to request a urgent review because another completed case is awaiting for it?

Or can I ask them to use the i-864 instead of the i-864w because i don't actually need an exemption of support for my daughter.

I just wanna get pass the NVC stage as soon as possible, due to some family issues, my uncle is on the very last days because he has cancer and taking treatments in the states, which he really wanna see my family for one last time, it was just like a nightmare for me once I know NVC is asking me to submit the i-864w again. I know that's not a reason for expedite as it doesn't have direct medical issue with my family.

Can anyone please give me some suggestions or advice that how can I speed it up?

Thanks very much

Chris

hi

it's not an exemption of support, it's because if you are a USC, your daughter will automatically derive your citizenship once she enters the country

that's why she doesn't need the i864 but the i864W

you can call to see if they can expedite the case not based on your uncle, but based on that your wife's case has been completed and to marry their petitions together so that they have the interview at the same date and time

now when your wife will have an interview that's another story

thanks for your reply, the case of my wife is completed but i didn't receive any notice at all as they said the case is cross referenced so they will have to wait for my daughter's case to be completed also. I am not sure if it can be a reason to ask them to put it under supervisor review or to urgently review it.

I am so panic right now and i don't know what should I do, just want to get them there as soon as possible.

Tried to apply for a travel visa for them but got rejected as they said we are under progress of an immigration visa.

As my girl was borned abroad and I didn't present in the states for more than 2 years after i was 14, so the embassy said that she is not eligible to get a US passport directly.

She will be able to get a passport when she enters the USA on her IR2. Do not pay the $165 imigrant fee for your daughter.

Unfortunately you don't have grounds for an expedite but you call and speak to a supervisor to ask for their assistance. It doesn't hurt to ask. The worst they can say is no.
