quick question regarding the interview at the Kyiv Embassy. Do most couples do the interview together? Or are they separated and asked questions in different rooms?

Hi,

First, you aren't both required to be there for the interview, only the beneficiary. However, it's always better if you can both be there, makes the officer's job easier. If you both attend the interview, you do it together at a window next to the waiting area, really quite painless if there are no red flags. I have only heard of the Stokes style interview in higher risk fraud countries where the validity of the relationship is in doubt. If you read through the embassy reviews for Kiev you will get a good idea of what to expect. Good Luck!

I just passed the interview and I was alone. So, there's nothing to worry about if you'll be alone, or your fiance. I'm pretty sure they see if the relationship is real.

You leave your passport at the embassy after they approve your visa. If you elect the courier to deliver it to your doorstep, it comes in about a week, give or take. It costs 60 gr if I remember correctly.

Thanks. I left it there and I ordered the courier delivery. I just have the plane tickets for 15th of December so I hope my passport with a visa arrives in time))

You should be in good shape, they are pretty consistent at that consulate. When was your interview again? I looked at your timeline but you didn't update it yet. Congrats on the approval as well! I'm sure you are excited.
