:help: :help: :help: Hello everyone!! I received my NOA2 almost a month ago. I haven't started calling NVC yet, but I will as of next week. My question is I want my fiance and I to be prepared for the rest of the process. I know about the certain forms and affidavits, but my question is do we need to submit new evidence of our relationship, or does he take the copy I made him of the original submission for I-129 to the interview? P.S.I haven't returned to Ghana since I filed the petition. Thanks for your help. :help::help::help:

Ghana interviews are hard, so suggest you study here at VJ on a pc with internet access.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Ghana is difficult. Did you do any advance research prior to submitting your petition?

http://www.visajourney.com/content/guides

Strongly suggest like Darnell stated to start reading up. Start here with the guides, flowchart, etc. read the Ghana portal. Read read read the posts made there.

It is recommended that your fiancé have a copy of the full I-129F that was sent in. However I'm not really sure how much that helps.

With Ghana you must do everything u can to show tons of evidence of a bonafide relationship. Face time is extremely important and it would greatly behoove you to be present at the Interview if at all possible.

How many visits did you make to see your fiancé? How many days total?

There are many posts in the Ghana portal that will help you. Read all the posts there. Go back a few months you will see the answers there.

Yes yes yes. You will need phone logs, chat logs, Skype logs, (or screenshots). Pictures, pictures with family, pictures with friends. Cards, letters, emails...Anything and everything you can put together.

No not really, I did some searching but not alot....I have been there 2x. 3 months total!! And yea he has a copy of the original submission, but wanted to know should we add too it? I only have the pics i submitted from the first 2 visits, so we have no new evidence. I was planning a 3rd visit in March but he may have a interview before then. I submitted all that the first time. So basically what your telling me is I need all new evidence for our relationship? I have chat logs, and skype records, and phone records but no new pics only screenshots of video chat until I return.

- Moved from K-1 Process to the Sub-Saharan Africa regional forum -

- Interviews at Ghana Embassy are notoriously difficult and are often discussed in that forum, topic also includes country-specific questions -

I'm going to move your thread to the appropriate regional forum, because interviews at the Ghana Embassy are notorious for being tougher than almost anywhere else, and you're more likely to get helpful responses to your question in the regional forum than in the general K-1 forum. In some ways, a K-1 interview in Ghana has more in common with a CR-1/IR-1 interview in Ghana than it does with a K-1 interview in, say, London, Paris or Montreal.

I strongly agree with the previous suggestion of reading as much as possible about other people's experiences of fiancee and spousal visa interviews in Ghana. These links should also be very useful:

Ghana portal

Accra consulate information

Accra, Ghana consulate reviews

Eighteen years in the US and I still don't understand Velveeta, TV ads for prescription drugs, only getting 2 weeks paid vacation, or why anyone believes anything they see on Fox "News".

I would submit all new info then. As far as phone logs it depends on how u communicate. For example, I have Verizon. I print out my Verizon phone call list every month. It shows all the calls I made and received , the dates, times, and duration of the call along with the other party's phone number. I highlight all the calls we make to each other and he took that to his interview to show continued communication.

@ Elf, thanks LOL because i'm a bit lost when it comes to posting on here but trying to do the best I can with what I know. @ LionessDeon ok dear, thank you. I have at&t and I can definitely print out call logs. I just don't have anything new to submit for real because we talk on the phone a lot, use Facebook messenger to chat (NOT SURE HOW TO OBTAIN A COPY OF 200,000 MESSAGES, MAYBE JUST TRY TO PRINT THE ONES SINCE MY LAST VISIT), and when we video, its through skype (DONT KNOW HOW TO OBTAIN THOSE RECORDS EITHER!!) We did have What's app but haven't used that app in a while. I was able to use those chat logs when i submitted the original but now we do not use that anymore. I guess he can take the copy of original petition with him and ill send him the call logs that are new. He has birthday cards etc that I have sent him, so he can use those just as I did when I submitted the petition. I wanted to return to Ghana in March, but maybe he wont have interview before this time and we will have new pics and evidence for him to take to the interview. Thanks to all for your input, i'm definitely going to take the advice given and continue to read here on VJ. And to anyone else who can shine light on my simple, yet, still mind boggling questions, feel free!! I appreciate it!!

Yea whatsapp are easy cuz you can email the chat to yourself and print. We stopped using FB messenger for that reason because I cannot figure out how to print that chat log either.

If you are planning a trip I would plan it for the time of his interview and go with him. It seriously could make the difference between approval and denial. You'll see in the portal posts. Update us!

Best of Luck!

You've gotten great advice so far and should intensively research your portal. You can print screen for Skype. I chose to pull out one or two conversations a month and highlighted conversations showing more concrete relationship matters and organized that with my fiancé's binder. I also came to the interview with my own full binder of every single what's app, skype, and phone log entry...just in case :-) None of it was looked at or needed at my embassy but YOURS, there is no such thing as being over prepared. ALSO, and most importantly, I would reschedule my trip to overlap with the interview without a doubt. Don't take that too lightly. If you come early , you can even take more family and friend photos. Have them printed out and add them to his packet. Best wishes!

My suggestion would be to print all you can and whatever pics you have, and sit with those items and put them together to show a picture of your relationship from begining to current, this embassy is very tough, organize and show them you are a real couple, make two sets so at NVC stage you can send what you have and continue to add to the other one so he can use that at the embassy, many post on here say that the embassy tend to read your packet that comes from NVC so give it all you got for the NVC stage because sometimes they won't look at your things at the interview, that I know from experience?

Thanks Mrs Bonsu I'll do exactly that. But now I have another question if you all don't mind. I received the letter yesterday stating that my petition was forwarded to the Embassy, so the question is does my fiancé go ahead and fill the online form or does he wait for something to be mailed to him first? Thank you all do much for the advice☺
