RFE???

Well we are pretty down right now. We got an email from CRIS and when I opened it I was sure that it was going to say we were approved but instead they have sent an RFE! We can't for the life of us figure out what on earth they could want. Just more time added to what already seems like a VERY long process. Heavy Sigh. Any one else have any experiences of the type of stuff they might ask for?

We got an RFE because we sent in photocopies of the G-325A's, instead of the originals. They needed new ones, with the original signatures on them. We got approved very shortly after they received the new G-325A's.

You have been in process for one month... us CSC'ers have three plus times that wait.....

Sorry to hear that But don't worry to much, you will get a letter documenting exactly what they need and Iam sure you can supply it. It may be something small like missing a signature or something.

Keep your head up and you will get your approval very soon

Sorry about the RFE but they'll tell you what you need to give them and things should get back on track after that. The RFE thread at the top is a very good source of information. There's a member here I think named ELW,she's really sweet, and she received a RFE and things got back on track with her pretty quickly and I think her case is already at the embassy.

We know we sent in all originals and followed all the guides and they were all signed, etc. etc, etc. We found the guide here on VJ very helpful and followed it to a t. We just have no idea what else they could "need" to make a determination. It's just very disheartening when we thought we were so close to being approved..

THey had my package on the 20th and now I dont see anything coming . What the h ? they should work on mine first , the the dude on the 21st and so on .

We have also received the message our RFE is in the mail also.

I got an RFE wanting more evidence of us meeting. I thought sending in copies of my passport (with stamps showing I was in India) was enough. While waiting for the snail mail RFE to come, I gathered up copies of my old plane ticket & itinerary, encashment certificates, hotel bills, and visa extension papers. I sent in the packet the day after I received the RFE via snail mail and got my NOA2 soon afterwards.

Maybe blank spots were left accidentally somewhere? I made that mistake with my G-325A form and almost didn't catch it despite looking the thing over several times.

I'm sorry to hear about the RFE. But try not to be too upset, you will still beat most csc filers to the noa2. I hope it's something you can easily correct and you get back on track! Good luck

Sorry to hear about the RFE. Especially going through VSC, where you think things will zip along, an RFE will sure put us in our place! I got an RFE because I submitted Judgements of Divorce Nisi instead of the Absolute Divorce Decrees. Sent it along and got NOA2 within a month.

Never good to hear someone got an RFE. However, you don't have as much time invested in the process as the majority do since they go through CSC. Check the pinned master rfe list.

Well the RFE finally showed up in snail mail. And the final verdict is...always send in the long form of your birth certificate. I only had the short form when I filed. Fortunately I had ordered them and I have the long form to send in. If you have your passport this isn't an issue but since my fiancee is from Canada and I always drive up it hasn't been an issue till now. Your birth certificate MUST show BOTH parents names.
