What about if joint sponsor is not employed and is retired ? is social security and pension documents good enough?

Our co-sponsor is also retired and I've done a lot of research about it. Everyone says it is perfectly acceptable as long as the poverty guideline requirements are met and you have sufficient proof of it. I dunno if you're filing for AOS and I-864 (I assume so because you said joint sponsor instead of co-sponsor), but if it's a I-134 for a consular interview, then you can E-mail the consulate directly and they'll tell you what is acceptable for them.

Thank you yes it is an AOS i-864. My joint sponsor does meet and exceed the poverty guidelines so hopefully we can get a speedy CC.
