They got married in 2011, but did not file for GC until 2012 for financial reasons.

A couple should make it top priority to get the green card right away.. If paying the fee means the couple is going to live on instant Raman noodles for a bit, so be it. Things are insanely tight here, so Christmas presents between my honey and I aren't going to happen, and I'm taking sack lunches on the trip to meet him at the airport and bring him home, because we're definitely going to pay the fee as soon as he arrives.

Received DS-261 / AOS Bill : 2015-03-20

Submit DS-261 : 2015-04-25

Receive IV Bill : 2015-04-14

Pay IV Bill : 2015-04-22

Send IV Package : 2015-04-28

Scanned date: 2015-04-28

Check list : 2015-06-07

Check list scanned: 2015-06-10

Sent to Supervisor 49 days after scanned: 2015-07-28

Case Complete 7 days after it went to Supervisor: 2015-08-05

Visa was ready for pick up November 3rd in the afternoon

VISA IN HAND! THANK YOU GOD!
