I applied for my husband i130 in dec 2013 and it get approved. And finally he is here one month back. We got married in oct 2013. When he got visa, it was written that something like this,'permanent resident for one year' but now he got a green card and it has ten year expiry.. I am confuse? I heard that for i130 cases, applicants first get two year conditional GC..

Ps.. His interview held on sept 2015 and he arrivd USA in oct 2015

When did the two of you marry? If you had been married for two years or more by the date on which he entered the US on his immigrant visa, he will have been entitled to get a full 10-year green card immediately. Conditional green cards are only given if the couple have been married for less than two years when the immigrant enters the US.

Eighteen years in the US and I still don't understand Velveeta, TV ads for prescription drugs, only getting 2 weeks paid vacation, or why anyone believes anything they see on Fox "News".

It seems like your husband arrived in US just days after your two year anniversary. Good for you both, no need to go through removal of condition.

@elf... We got married on oct 2013. He arrivd usa on 22 oct 2015.

I would book an infopass with USCIS and ask them. If the days are correct he entered before your 2 year anniversary and he should've got a 2 year green card. If that is not fixed now later when he applies for citizenship it could bite him in the rear. Good luck.

I agree with the advice to make an InfoPass appointment. If you'd been married for less than 2 years when his GC was issued, it should have been conditional. To make an Infopass appointment, start here

GC issued after our two years of marriage but he arrived in USA just three days before our second anniversary

Take a look at his green card. What date is listed for "Resident since:"?

Marriage: 26 oct 2013

Àrrived on / residence since:22 oct 2015

Green card issued on 20 nov 2015

So on the actual green card it says "Resident since 11/20/15"?

There's your answer. The GC was issued after your second wedding anniversary, so it's unconditional.

Okay, then we're back to the suggestion of making an InfoPass appointment to figure out what's going on. Better to get it sorted out now than risk problems later.
