Do not trust any service here, i have a friend who just left Vietnam with fiancee visa 2 weeks ago with no problem, no service, no bribe and her fiance filed the petition for himself. She is a Chăm ethnic girl and she passed the interview with only 5 questions in 5 minutes. They only required her to show them their pics together and asked her to point out each one in the picture. She spoke English well and passed the interview easily.

I think no body can "pay" to "pass" the interview easier though. If yes, there were a lot of rich Vietnamese could have fraud marriage, paid the service and came there all?!???

What's the problem with Andrew and Thuy, Kevin?? Did Thuy pass the interview?? Pass or didnot pass?? that's the most important thing. The other things we can discuss later when they have time to tell us their story in details.

Please remember the case of ridejewel, he didn't use any services for the interview. It's up to the wife's attitude and working on documentation, and also the services if they used. The services only can help for the process goes quickly, they cannot help to pass the interview.

You can see in my time of process, it's slow as we didn't use any services. The lawyer was the only person to help to arrange documentation at the very first period to apply at USCIS, that's all they can do.

Well, on the part of interview for Andrew va Thuy, i will have Andrew to do the update.

From what i heard, that those services can make a range with the Vietnamese workers in the Consulate Office. They can let you in to the interview faster and don't have to wait that long. Also, they will arange to the easier Interviewer to interview you. Cuz those workers will get some sort of CUT ( MONEY ) from those Pay Services. Those are the only two things i want to talk about. Cuz no place can guarantee you will get the PINK SLip. But it does take off some burden for our love one.

Also, who ever had the interview with a young lady CO like Tony's Fiancee will pass it easy. Who ever have a Old Guy or other Guy CO will get a tough time in the interview.

I would question the validity of anyone who claims they can make this process go faster. Perhaps easier (by helping you fill our the paper work), but NOT faster.

Interviews are assigned to COs alphabetically by last name, then first name. The intake personnel cannot change this. Don't waste money trying to pay someone to get you to an "easy" officer. It is a waste.

Connie, where do you get those info or just your assumption???? Anyway, just some thought i want to throw it out for discussion. Personally, I will not use any of those services. Just to see how everyone feel on this issuse.

A friend of mine used to be a CO in HCMC. My info is more than a year old, but from what I understand, it's always been alphabetical. Any service that promises to give your case to an "easy CO" is taking your money and pocketing it.

Ummm. how to say to you?? I had the interview with both the old man and the other male CO. It may be hard time for the other ladies but for me, it was easier as I felt that the old man was very understandable and he could catch what I said very fast. The old man can speak Vietnamese fluently but he came to the interview with me by English only, he could recognize the wrong translation from his Vietnamese staff and asked her out to ask me more. But the more he asked me, the more I felt better as he could fully understand what I wanted to say, eventhough he could guess exactly what was happening in my family with my love story. He gave me the good question to help me to say what I wanted to explain to him by English. That's what I wanted to do in the interview.

It's of course, the old man is more difficult than the other guy because he can speak Vietnamese fluently and he well understand Vietnamese tradition. The Vietnamese people, who wanted to lie or to hide to him something in the interview, will be delayed on visa. However, as I told to all of you, the situation is up to your fiance. She must think how to say to the CO and what kind of question they can ask to prepare for answer. It's such as the oral examination. Her attitude, her English skill and her answer will decide the result.

So, please ask your fiance to make the exercise in her mind before she comes to the interview.

I wish all of you lucky.

Hien,

I couldn't agree with you more. Yes, everything we show them in the interview day will be the most important thing for the Pink slip (well-prepared papers and confident in answering all of their questions)

I never "hope" in some thing from the others' help (i mean hoping in bribing people...) instead trying my best and praying to get a bit luck in that day. I will report to you my interview after i come home on Monday next week. Will not let you wait for so long because i understand how it feels of the others waiting for their turn and they want to hear experience from the formers :star:

My prayer is with you Andrew!!!!

About "pay to play" theory:

1. Vietnamese staff at HCMC is paid too much money and benefits to risk their job for any K-1 Visa seeker (thousands of them each year)

2. Vietnamese staff do not have the ability to impact the C.O.'s decision on the beneficary's visa approval

3. There is no "easy" C.O., or tougher ones. Just C.O. who will approve qualified and met all requirement case.

4. Money will not buy you a Visa to america via K-1, via HCMC, via Vietnamese staff.

5. Getting ahead of the line by paying $$$ to the Vietnamese staff, just to find out your beneficary/fiance will get a blue slip or green one. Do not believe this myth! Or you can pay me $500 and i'll get you in on the secret how to beat the C.O. at their own game. Joking... don't you start PM-ing me!!! hahaha

6. Feeling sorry for your fiance because she has to wait all day for her interview inside HCMC? Don't be, that should be the least of your worry, don't get caught paying some vietnamese staff to skip the long line, your fiance may be kicked out all together buddy. Plus, having her waiting long at the interview, would be the time for her to prepare, repeat her interview, mentally ready for the big moment of your future, or a long wait in AR.

The wait will do her some good, make her appreciate this whole journey even more, if not less.

just my thought!

"You always get what you've always gotten if you always do what you always did."

After days of re-write & still more pen and ink changes, Thuy departed with a huge package for the consuate at 2:20 Tueday - today. I expected she would turn in the package & maybe not hear for months. While she was gone I was planning my next 2 trips to VN and wondering where I could get the vacation time. As the time dragged on I thought it odd she had not returned. I asked Daniel to pray with me she would be safe and if the consulate were to review our work, they would be making favorable recommendations. Before that Daniel planted secret messages of love and inspiration in her pockets in her clean clothes & in her personal belongings.

At 5:20 Thuy appeared and to our surprise and delight Thuy has a pink page to receive her visa this week. The paper says 23rd and the person told her the 22nd. Only problem is all the flight to use her open ticket are booked until the 4th of April. To us its no problem. We are so happy !

I am sorry we have not been on to give much of a report this week. I have spent the entire vacation considering what to write., sweltering in internet cafes, fighting printers and searches....

Now about the interview. Like most if not all her interview was scheduled for 10 AM in the take a number ritual. But we arrived with what we hoped was a sure shot package. Well they reviewed her docs at 11 and then at lunch came out ... I was sure she would be out soon. Finally at 3:40 Thuy was interviewed. She had the same interpreter who reviewed the docs. Her interviewer was a younger guy ( # 12 window ). He started off with :

1. how did you meet ( and what day ) ?

2. when (the day ) did you meet in person ?

3. Did you have an engagement party ( what day )?

4. How many wives had I sponsored ?

5. Did I have a wife ? What day was he divorced

6. When Did I meet my previous wife ?

7. What is her name ? Where is she now >? Address ??

*. What was my former wife ( not sure what the English question was ), but came out as what 'goc' was she ? ( Hispanic / Mexican ).

At this the interviewer thought I had not declared my former wife and that she was a foreign borm person. Interview toasted with a blue slip:

1.) Show the consulate evidence relationship is not for immigration purposes. Ittemize and label everything.

2.) Explain how I sponsored my former wife when and how !! Prove her address !

3.) Provide a timeline ( and swear its the truth ) exactly how you met, what were the steps that made you decide it was serious, when, when how did the proposal occur, and was there a delay in reponse, how long ?

The cover sheet was 3 pages FULL. Our Timeline was a 4 page excell worksheet with attachments, The stack of evidence itemized at 17 and was more than 5 inches high.

Thanks for all your support - this is a great group & have been very helpful ! Andrew & Thuy

Thanks also to Philip who loaned me a laptop to rough out the reply ! and al who sent us messages & emails of support
