Hi everyone, me and my fiance are expecting noa2 within the next few weeks.

I am wondering in the meantime is she able to start collecting her police records and everything now or is this something that must wait for noa2 to first be received?

When we get NOA2 do I the petitioner send anything directly to embassy or do I send any and all things necessary for her interview directly to her?

She has to go to Kenya for her medical is she able to get her vaccinations in her home country of Uganda or must they also all be done at the medical? How do I find out what vaccinations are even necessary to pass the interview?

How long after NOA2 receipt would be a good time frame to expect shed be able to interview in?

If she does get approved do we need to go back to kenya to get her visa or does she somehow get to get it in uganda?

Also if anyone knows the costs associated from NOA2 onwards? Does the interview itself cost money or does she bring money to the embassy if she is approved?

I can't answer all your questions because some are consulate specific. I encourage you to use the full version of this site and work through the tabs at the top for Embassy Info, Example Forms, and Guides. I also encourage you to go to the appropriate country portal to get info on how your consulate works and what those specific requirements are.

Beneficiary can get the vaccines anywhere as long as they get documentation to take to medical to prove they were done.

You send any documents, forms, and continued relationship directly to her to take to the interview.

There is no guarantee your NOA2 will arrive on 2 weeks. If I were you I would wait a bit to start getting police certificates etc. After NOA2 you still have to wait for NVC to issue a case # and send ur file to the embassy, so u have time.

The embassy for interview depends on the country you listed on the I-129F. That is where she will be set up to interview and where NVC will send the file.

Wow yea that's a lot. My fiancé only had to get the ones I mentioned.

Your embassy may be different. Check the Kenya portal/forum to be sure. Is HPV even available after a certain age?

MMR is measles mumps rubella

You do not need all of those. Most are age specific and someone over 18 does not need most of them. You will need MMR, Tdap/TD, varicella(unless you already had chickenpox), and flu shot, since it is currently flu season. You can see what is required by age here > http://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugeehealth/exams/ti/civil/vaccination-civil-technical-instructions.html#tbl1

hi there!

my husband is ugandan and we are going through the same process. I can tell you that as soon as 10 days after you recieve your approval notice from uscis, even before u recieve nao2 u can start calling nvc to see if they have recieved ur case. i am also curious if we need to get medical and vaccinations in kenya...would be nice if they could get it done here in their home country, then bring evidence to their interview in kenya.

As far as fees go I each form u send to nvc requires payment i think it totals around $400 usd
