October: Waiting

November: Waiting

December: In Security checks

January 2006: Waiting

February: Waiting..Contacted Congress

March 4th: APPROVED

March 17th: NVC posted file to London

March 20th: London Receives file

March 29th: Receive package 3

April 13th: London Receives package

April 19th: Medical - June 13th: INTERVIEW......APPROVED!!!!

June 20th: ARRIVE IN USA

Time taken for whole process 9 Months

October: 13th: Sent off AOS Package

November 3rd: NOA1

November 14th: Snail mail ~ NOA1 ~ Case moved to the CSC for faster processing.

November 14th : CSC has petition for me and my daughter.

December 14th: Biometrics completed.

January 17th: APPROVED AOS!

January 22nd: Green card arrives in the mail:))

Time taken for AOS - 3.5 Months

Finished for 2 years.

What did you make to go along with that pot roast?

Any 'leg of Marilyn' on the menu? :devil:

Hope you had the happiest of days, Marilyn & hubby! How did that roast turn out??? :) Happy day & many more to you.... (F) (F) (F) M.

the roast came out ok.....

but I had tried a new recipe, usually I just like to throw some onion sup mix over the roast and maybe throw in some potatoes and carrots and onions.... but I didn't have any soup mix so I tried this recipe that called for puring some beef broth and some red wine and some spices over the roast....

well, I didn't have red wine and I thought I had read somewhere that you could substitute red wine vinegar for red wine :wacko: I did add some sugar to it..... Well, like I said the roast came out good but the potatoes had soaked up all the vinegar and were basically inedible :crying:

and then just for a laugh I decided to attempt to make Yorkshire puddings to go with the roast.. I have eaten them before but I have never made them because I thought it was too difficult but I found this recipe that looked pretty simple...

well, long story short they were hubby's favourite part of the meal... he gave them an A.... The recipe had made 12 puddings and I thought it would be too much but there are none left :lol:

Love yorkshire puddings!! Roast beef, yorshire puddings was always 1 of my favorite meals!! The fight was one who got the extra yorshire pudding, lol Glad al went well marilyn!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1
