Surprise! We got our Interview Date!!

:wacko: Well all my diligent obsessive tracking has come to naught. I called up NVC and twice they said they mailed our package on Friday the 23rd. But guess what – no package to our consulate was sent via DHL till Monday the 26th. And that only arrived on March 5th. And I got a letter dated Feb 26th from NVC saying “within a week your petition will be forwarded to the appropriate (Consulate)…”

Anyway since the package I was tracking (sent on 26th) arrived on the March 5th, that evening I wrote to Chennai asking about our petition and when Packet 3 would be mailed out? Yah I'm obsessive compulsive about this process for sure! :thumbs:

:o And they reply came within a few hours:

Your interview is on 13-APR-2007 .

The letter has already been mailed on February 28.

:D I'm dancing! I'm jumping! I'm giggling! I'm nervous! :P (I'm wondering when in the world our petition was actually mailed to Chennai?!)

Since India requires all documents to be handed over to a VFS office 15 working days before the interview, we have almost exactly 2 weeks to get all together (police reports, birth certificates, medical). Happily I just sent the last of my docs to India on the 27th.

I don't know why everytime I read a post about interview is getting closer, I get nervous feeling somehow, though I'm not the person who is going to be interviewed. :lol:

i did not know you can email the consulate and ask them for the interview date...since 2/23..our packet 3 has been entered in the barbados consulate and they claim the packet 4 was mailed on the same day.

i will never understand why it takes mail so long to move in a small country stupse...then again when i lived there i never mailed anyone anything lol

i just emailed them so hopefully i should get a response tomorrow or thursday
