The world is facing another global conflict and a fast response is needed to deal with the threat, Jordan's King Abdullah said on Tuesday.

"We are facing a Third World War against humanity and this is what brings us all altogether," he told a news conference in Kosovo's capital Pristina.

"This is a war, as I said, repeatedly within Islam and unfortunately over 100,000 Muslims have been murdered by Daesh (Islamic State) alone over the past two years, and that doesn't also count for the atrocities like-minded groups have also done in Africa and Asia," he said after meeting Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga.

King Abdullah said the world must "act fast to tackle the response to interconnected threats" from Daesh, the Arabic acronym for Islamic State.

Islamic State has claimed responsibility for Friday's attacks in Paris, in which 129 people were killed, as well as for bombings in the Lebanese capital. The group has also said it brought down a Russian plane in Egypt this month, killing all 224 people aboard.

France and Russia both staged air strikes on Islamic State targets in northern Syria on Tuesday as Paris formally requested European Union assistance in its fight against the group.

The Jordanian monarch was on a one-day visit to Kosovo where he was given the highest honors by Jahjaga.

Jordan was one of the first countries in the Middle East to recognize Kosovo after it declared independence from Serbia in 2008.

It has been brewing since the British Empire collapsed. The lines in the sand that were drawn by Europe after WWI didn't take into consideration the little man on the ground and made matter a little worse. War has been waging in the Middle East for over a century now, thanks in part to Europe, and later America. We fostered animosity, cultivated hatred, and created division within the peoples in that area; because it fit our imperial designs.

It has been much, much longer than a decade, and it is far from over, as then-VP Cheney prophesized.

All the players are not in the game yet. ... This will not be just about ISIS .. Could be wrong . Around the world one of the biggest goals in the Muslim world is the end of the Jewish state . ... This will be a major factor on who lines up with whom. ISIS is supported by Muslims all over the world (money and people). How many people have been trained by ISIS. If things do not go so well they will return to their home countries . Trained foot soldiers. .. Ready to carry on .

There can't be another world war until the odds are evened. Our military is so much more advanced than anyone else, you could make an argument that the US could prevail against the entire world on the ocean. China's military is junk for the most part and they have no dog in this fight. The EU as a whole probably has the second all around military and they're all on board with the US. Russia is weak militarily despite what people want to think and they're fighting the same people we would be in this world war. One word, reactionaries. Commissioned carriers below just so you guys can get a scope. Carriers are a direct representation of a countries ability to project power. Our numbers of heavy cruisers and missile destroyers are equally impressive. Not to mention our aircraft along with the Europeans will have no problem with.... anyone. The ONLY thing Russia has are nuclear weapons but AGAIN, they're on the same side as us. So who's going to be the problem? Who is going to make this, if it escalates to "world war" as you guys say, anything less than the easiest military win since the first Iraq war. Accept it, nothing other than a prolonged guerrilla campaign from occupied insurgents would give the US and Europe ANY problem. People have a tendency to believe there's some huge apocalypse looming in the future. That's all this is, gloom and doom, with zero percent reality.

Right, these 14 guys are gonna take down the western world. The Muslim world doesn't have any firepower. And that's assuming they were all gearing up for some sort of crusade to cover the world, which they're not. Even if they did, if every Muslim country in the world started a war with ONLY the US, they'd lose..... badly. No major military power has a majority Muslim population. Maybe you're just seeing things in terms of small firearms or something.

Now keep in mind, I'm just playing to Lost's worse fears that all Muslims are on board with this objective. Because they obviously aren't.

No I never said Ebola was going to wipe out the United States ....When you had medical personal that had been exposed to the virus .traveling around the US by air it was not a good idea. . .. Just to see her boy friend ..
