I know this has been discussed several times, but I wondered if anyone had any recent experience with it? I've been for the medical, filled in forms etc etc and my case status has been updated to ready. Trying to find out the interview date so I can do some forward planning (what with Christmas just around the corner)! Read lots of threads, called both numbers for NVC, (603) 334-0700 and (603) 334 0888 with no luck. One said they couldn't give me that info and the other said to contact London!!! Thanks NVC. Was curious if anyone else had tried this recently and been successful? Or if anyone has any other suggestions?

Thanks for reading and maybe helping!!

Thanks for the reply K1Hopeful22. Have contacted the London Embassy about this subject and failed to get anywhere. I picked up the other phone numbers from the London K1. A complete guide, so i'm assuming this applies to my case!!!

Good luck on your journey!

Well it can take up to 6 weeks to schedule an interview, the ceac staus site (which is a bit rubbish) can show updated with no change of information

There is an email link on the Embassy site which they DO respond to, you won't get very far calling them

Just so you know my ceac staus showed AP, I've been in the USA 2 months now lol

Thanks DJ6372. If you are talking about the US Embassy London site, I have already been down that route and they just told me the same thing that you did!!!! I know people have found out their interview date before receiving their official letter, I was just trying to find out how?!!!

Its all a bit hit and miss with the whole process!

Although I went the IR-1 route it can be frustrating

At one point near the end of the process my wife phoned up the NVC about our interview date and they said, nothing left in September it will be October

So on that news my wife booked to come to the UK to see me, the day after she booked and paid we got an email saying our interview was 21st Sept!!

It took them 6 weeks to give me my date

Wheezy--

The NVC and the Embassy are both part of the Dept of State. They are tied to the same computer system. NVC most certainly can see if London has assigned a date to you by looking at your case. They choose to brush you aside and tell you to call London. Some people say London does not accept phone calls (true) and a nice NVC persons tells them the date. Some just get a nice person and don't have to beg. In reality, it's not their job to give out info you are impatient to know because you will get a letter from London. But maybe if you call next week you will get a nicer person who will help alleviate your misery. It is really unlikely you have been assigned a date yet. Oh, and that bit from the CR1 couple about being out of dates until the next month does not apply to K1s. NVC assigns their dates. London assigns yours. Different process.

I rang NVC several times about a week after my medical and had no luck - They always, however, looked up information to see if they could see if London has scheduled an interview. You can get your date from NVC, however they might not always be the most reliable source because sometimes because they don't update immediately after London have scheduled an interview.

I sent an email via the London Embassy contact form and received a response within 12 hours giving me my interview date. But that was 3 weeks after my medical.

Keep trying, I know how you feel and you want to try every day, as I did. Give it a shot with the contact form.

Good luck and as hard as it is, stay patient.

Contact your Congressman/woman. Their office will have a specialist who handles immigration issues. Ask if they can assist with obtaining a firm interview date.

While Congress as a whole can be amazingly disfunctional, individual Representatives are often quite effective at breaking through bureaucratic log jams.

Good Luck!

Wait, did you study the london k-1 visa how-to topic?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

You should be getting your letter soon (hopefully.) My fiancé had his medical on November 4 and he received his letter on November 17, so it took about two weeks. I also called NVC (0700 number) on November 16 and was told that we would have to wait for the letter. Fortunately, we didn't have to wait very long.
