how long does it take from NOA2 to get a case number anyone thanks alot ? :joy:

    6/7/2016 Didn’t get case number so case went to supervisor look *****(new time frame is 2 weeks to get your case and invoice number form NVC.)

    6/14/2016 AOS BILL INVOICED

Praying we all get case#'s this coming week.

That would be amazing! I received the email yesterday and they updated our online status saying our case was sent to NVC on 11/28. It only took 9 days for that, so hopefully things will move along quicky! Crossing fingers for all of us!! :)

thanks alot so they do update it thats great I keep on checking yet but im still waiting for the NOA2 which im thinking is that Potamoc service center

Hello all. Just a few updates since I called the NVC this AM. Boy, they're a lot nicer than the USCIS (so far). Anyhow - here's my stats:

June 10 - NOA1

Nov 10 - NOA2

Nov 20 - Case sent to NVC

Nov 23 - Case Received

I called this AM and she said a case number will not be assigned until 45 days after case received date (the standard answer) which would be January 7th if it takes that long. However, I'll probably call again next Monday. :)

Let's hope it doesn't really take 45 days. Crossing fingers for us all!

NO NO NO. We will not accept 45 days.

Seems like by 14 days of receive, case # is assigned. From what I been reading.

My NVC receive date is Nov 10 but still nothing in terms of Case #. I called them Friday and got the standard 45 days.

Our case was approved on Oct 28 so basically went all of November with no movement :(

The beneficiary will sign into ceac.state.gov/ with the assigned case number, complete and submit the DS-261 form - online choice of address and agent form.

I am so confused with the NVC process since we have a lawyer. I know I can start calling in 2 weeks or so to get our case number and invoice number. Once I get that my lawyer said I can give it to him and he can pay the fees online. However, since we have a lawyer do we still supply the rep we speak to over the phone me and my husband's email addresses so we will receive all corospondences? Our lawyer will be our agent so if we supply our email addresses, will he not receive emails from NVC or will all of us recieve them? Plus I know having a lawyer we get to by-pass the D261 form, and will be invoiced all at once. I keep seeing people say have NVC review your D261 form over the phone, since we won't have one do I just call NVC get invoice number and case number, give it to my lawyer, he pays fees, once fees are paid lawyer can send our Packets to NVC? Sorry for all the questions, if anyone knows where I can see the NVC process while using a lawyer, just point me in the right direction and I will read it all. :)

Hi guys, I've been following the July fillers for the I-130. Eventually I've found the new group chat for at the NVC. Our case was received Nov 16th at the NVC and also get the same answer over the phone of wait 45 days for the welcome letter which will have your case number and IIN number on it. Hopefully this week my wife in the States will receive a letter in the post. But I'll try phoning them again on Friday to see if they got good news for me. It's just so frustrating phoning all the way from South Africa. I'm dreading my phone account this next month. Good luck guys...

Sep 22nd 2015 - received email of RFE

Nov 05th 2015 - received NOA2 approval

Nov 16th 2015 - received at NVC

There are apps that you can download onto your phone that are free. Usually you get assigned a new US number and can call right about any US number for free ..I would highly recommend MagicJack :) You need to be connected to the internet for that but it's great!
