Filing electronically may help you catch up for the time lost. I'm sure you saw the CC for the Canadians in under a week here recently. In hindsight I should have filed that way.

I know, and since our lost time was strictly our lawyers fault, he should get on the EP. I absolutely saw that, his case is like ours Canada to FL! Did you file EP or snail mail it? I wonder what the pros and cons are of both, I hear you don't really receive a confirmation that your files were received via EP. If that is true, that might freak me out a bit.

^^^ disregard my question, just read that part haha

I FedEx'ed mine in the day after my bar code cover sheets were available, so they were there the next day. I felt more comfortable at the time with the mail route because I'm a little more particular than my attorney is. I was able to keep better control that way. I had found some mistakes in their work, and I didn't want to leave the EP to chance without me looking over their shoulder. If I had all the signed documentation here in Canada and completed, I would have scanned and emailed them off myself.

Thank you for the link to this forum a lot of great information. We filed for my husband also June 2015 and are now waiting for the fairies at NVC to give us our next steps. Everything sent and paid. Well, until the next hiding fees come about. I received a email from the NVC stating "that they have received an overwhelming amount of documents and we should wait the 30 days" can anyone tell me if they've gotten this also or this just standard mailing?

Everyone gets it when they receive your documents and scan into system. Now the wait begins. Welcome to the group. Soon you will be coming over to my thread.

Case Complete to Interview. woooo whoooo. :goofy:

I have nothing good to say, just thoughts of frustration so I am just sitting by the sidelines today.

Thank you Foreign. Lawyer paid our fees last Wednesday, he emailed us Thursday saying Friday or Monday fees should show as "Paid" (which happened Friday). I emailed him Friday about EP, and still haven't heard from him. Can't believe we had our case # since 12/18 and our packets haven't been submitted yet. Just unreal. I will call him tomorrow and try to track him down AGAIN. :(
