Oh my IV fee shows paid now! And the DS-260 is now available so im hoping to fill it out with my wife in the next couple of days when our schedules allow! +8 hour time difference is hard.

So as soon as that is submitted I believe I only have to wait for either a cc or, hopefully not, a request for more documents!

I feel like im losing the race to you guys though!

Yeah, I feel you on the time difference. It is 10 hours for me.

I loved the online DS260 though , I will fill in at my convenience and my wife was doing the review and adding to it at her time. and then we submitted it after each one reviewed it. Try that ...

Question, I just completed the DS-260 online and for the first time had to expand upon the education section. We are completing our immigration from Ecuador and my husband did about 10 month masters program in Spain. I hadn't included it as a permanent residence until now as the DS-260 seemed to delve into that further than at the USCIS level. I added it as a residence and an educational institution. My question is making me VERY nervous. We have already sent the AOS and IV packets and everything is done. Did I need to get a police clearance from Spain too? Or just Ecuador. This has me very nervous. Looking for people with this specific experience of a piece of their education in another location and regarding the police clearance only. Is there a possibility they won't ask for it?

Hi !!

http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/Supporting_documents.html here, under Police certificate, it says that you need a police certificate if you stay there more than 1 year if it's a country of previous residence!

In my case, I lived in Spain for 4 years (studied and worked there), so I need one. I think you don't need one as your husband stayed there 10 months!! You are good!! :)

I have a question: Can I send the AOS and IV packets before I pay the IV fee???? Because the IV fee should be unlock within 7 days, but if they receive my packet before I pay the IV fee, it might be bad, isn't it ?

Thank you for your response and sorry for the spam!!

Thanks for responding - I saw the same thing but was worried I was reading it wrong. It helps that you are confirming the same way I read it. You can send the AOS and IV packet as soon as you have done the first AOS fee so send it now! You don't have to wait for the IV fee to unlock.
