Does anybody know if this is normal? I can sign into the DS-261 part of the site but when I try to sign into the fee payment portion, I get this error. Is it because my case is so new?

Thanks.

I did call them. Couldn't help me at this point. I'm thinking it may be because nothing has been invoiced yet. I have an attorney, so no 261 to fill out.

Does anyone know how long it takes for NVC to look at my AOS and IV packets? Its a week since i sent them and they say 30 days after i pay everything and when they scan my packet. Has anyone seen something less or more? Im hoping its not 30 days.. I paid the forms, and completed and sent my packet.. Now just waiting.

Happy holidays.. Hoping good news for all of us.

I am emailing my lawyer in a few minutes and HOPEFULLY he didn't leave for vacation yet and will pay our fees! I have nothing, he has everything. Only good thing is that with a lawyer we can by-pass the 261 form as he is already our agent. So we just have IV/AOS fees that get invoiced usually at the same time. But I think I am going to be sitting on this until January 4th. At least we have it, and my lawyer has all our documents ready to roll out, tax transcripts, no police record, birth certificates, marriage etc...I am still excited! :)

I wonder how long it takes for NVC to email out the welcome letter. He will receive that too.

Cosmos, are you able to log into the fee portion of the Dept. of State website? Just curious if you get the same error as me. We have almost the exact same situation as far as timing, FL, attorney, etc.

Gobucks! I honestly haevn't tried since I can't pay the fees myself anyway. I think it would just be torture to see the fees open and not be able to do anything. I did just email my lawyer, but I am sure nothing is going to happen until the 4th of January. What does the error message say?

PS. What part of FL are you in?

I think it was meant to say that they have the police report, but no record showing up on the report.

No we have everything. I call it a "No police record", that is what they call it in Canada lol. My husband got that a few months ago, Canada's police records are good for a year and our lawyer has a copy already. Literally we are just waiting to pay fees, lawyer fill out IV paperwork, give him a letter from my employment. I been waiting on the letter so it has the most recent date on it. AOS is already done too, lawyer sent me a copy.

Did you receive a letter from NVC or email yet, like a welcome letter?

Let's do this!!! :)
