Hey guys,

We received our Case # & IIN # via post yesterday. No emails/texts nothing, just the welcome letter in the mail.

Timeline for us as follows..

NOA2 - 28th Oct

Case Sent - 3rd Nov

Case Rec - 10th Nov

Case # Assigned - 2nd Dec (according to date on letter)

Congrats im happy for you.. Hopefully I get my case number this week. Let us know the next steps you take. :)

Nope. Every time we called (which was almost every second day) they said 45 days amd confirmed they received the case so it was a little unexpected to get it in the mail.

We were able to complete the DS-261 form online and pay the AOS fee. Now we have to wait approx. 5 days for that payment to process before we can fill out the DS-260 form and pay immigrant processing fee.

That's amazingly fast. Congratulations. Now send your AOS and IV packages in now. Don't delay it will cut down the processing time at NVC considerably.

Called this AM and no case number yet. The only new news I got was that they received my documents Nov 23rd but started processing my stuff Nov 27th so they go by the process date. She said it takes 30-35 days (different from the 42-45 lol). She then gave me the website to look for next steps. I told her I have everything ready to go, just waiting on the case number.

NOA1 - June 10

NOA2 - Nov 10

Case sent to NVC - Nov 20

Case Received - Nov 23

Case Processing Begins - Nov 27

I also got my welcome letter yesterday with the case number.

Application was sent Nov 3rd

Received at NVC on the 9th.

Case number assigned on 02/12/2015.

[spoiler]Green card I-130:Wedding date January 16th,2015 I-130 sent: May 5th,2015 NOA1: May 7th, 2015 NOA2: October 23rd,2015 Sent to NVC Nov 3rd, 2015 Received at NVC on the November 9th,2015 NVC sent letter with Case number on December 2nd,2015 DS-261 on December 07th, 2015 Paid AOS fee on December 07th,2015 Paid IV fee on December 12th, 2015 Sent AOS and IV package on December 17th, 2015 Form Ds 260 submitted on December 21, 2015. (Delay due to Ds261 showing incomplete had to resubmit) Scan date: December 21st, 2015 Case complete: January 29th, 2016 Medical examination: March 4th, 2016 Interview: March 17th, 2016 at US Embassy in Paris - Approved ! March 18th, 2016 - CEAC shows visa ISSUED March 24th, 2016 - Visa received this morning Paid ELIS $165 fee + book flight on MArch 24th, 2016 POE Chicago on April 13th, 2016  Received green card on June 8th, 2016[/spoiler][/spoiler]

Good Luck!! Hopefully you don't wait on hold to long. We were approved 11/19 and last week NVC said they didn't even have our case yet. I'm going to call again tonight, hopefully they can at least tell me that they received our case! That would be a start in the right direction :)

Be sure everyone getting case#'s via email to call NVC so you can also give them the Beneficiary's/Petitioner's email. That's why many of us call to give this information over so both of you get email. email

Hey I noticed an amazing thing. Because we have so much time on our hands I started investigating the NVC received to case# timeline and wondered hmmm what is it like for just Nigeria.

Thank you dwheels76 for your spreadsheet. I starting pulling up the last 3 months of case complete. And to my surprise the time from when NVC receives and a case# varied from 4 days to the longest 23 days.

But the majority were 7 to 14 days.

So I am hopeful end of this week or next week.
