Thank u very much Foreign Fantasy for considering my request and starting the new thread. Let me tell about myself. I immigrated here in USA on Nov 2014 the same IR1/CR1 process. Here is the link to my timeline (http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=166390 ). Since I did go through all the process by myself, I think I can be little helpful for you guys and also for my sister. Now we have applied for my sister for the same process and she got approved yesterday from USCIS.This NVC stage has critically important forms especially financial documents which is really important. When I was doing my process we used the same approach, once approved from USCIS started new thread for NVC even we have a FB group called Sep2014 i130 filers, this way we all are still connected. Because this scary process doesn't end even once you immigrate, since we have to remove conditions of green card if the marriage is less than 2 year from the day of immigration. So it is always better to get connected and share information. Have a good day guys and best of luck with NVC stage.

Thanks for the info.

And I hope they don't, since this is a progress topic :D.

Ive been reading everything I can for the NVC process and it looks like the most time is lost waiting on mail and them to input whatever is being sent in.

As such I have already had my wife begin preparing the documents in advance to be sent to me. Just waiting on the NVC number and IIN so that I can have her fill out the other forms and send me two copies :).

Hi Everyone! So happy you created this thread for us! I'm part of the other NVC thread as well but am glad we have one just for us June NOA1 filers and November NOA2 approvals! My NOA1 was June 10, NOA2 was Nov 10. I called USCIS because I never got a text or email about my approval and they were their usual rude selves on the phone and asked me how I knew I was approved. I said I called and checked online - duh. I asked if they can check to see if my phone number and email were on file because I did submit that sheet asking for notification with my NOA1 and they of course said there's no way to check aka anything that requires them to actually provide service to customers is too much. I also ask when my case would be sent to the NVC and their standard answer was it takes 30 days for the NBC to receive it. Call us then if they haven't gotten it. They are the worst. Anyhow, I'm heading to the UK as we speak to see my love for the holiday so won't check in with them again til Nov 30 (20 days later) - hopefully by then I'll have a scan date!

Are you bringing any originals with you for him to keep? My husband is visiting me from the UK and I'm debating if I should send our original documents back with him for the interview since I won't need originals for the NVC process

Funny you ask that. I made him a binder for the interview that I'm bringing him with originals of things he needs of mine along with photocopies that he doesn't already have. He is giving me photocopies of his originals I need for the NVC. So yes. We're doing a little swap of documents and organization so we're ready to go for the next step. The binder helped me organize everything so well - definitely advise it for over planners like myself haha! Plus, he told me everything is in some envelope - so I had to organize it for him (I even color coded tabs and wrote on them so he can easily find each document). I just want to get this all done with. Come on NVC - receive my docs! Aka USCIS get on sending them!

Awesome, yeah I definitely need to make a binder for him then. I do have another question though, if I opt to do the electronic process and scan everything and submit it that way, do I still need to mail anything in the IV package? I'm just kind of confused as to what goes in the IV package if there is an option to Scan and email everything to them. Maybe I'm confused or missing something. Does the original police record need to go in the package or can that also be a copy? Also are there any other papers that the beneficiary has to sign that needs to go in the IV package? Sorry so many questions, I just want to get everything signed before he goes back to the UK

So glad us June Filers are sticking together! :) Congrats on all of us moving over to NVC. I just recieved my NOA2 today, so I am going to start calling NVC in 2 weeks or so. In the mean time I guess I will just enjoy the down time. We already gave my tax transcripts, husbands no police record to lawyer, lawyer started filling our my affidavit of support. Just need to get a letter from my employer. We are pretty prepared so far. I hope we all have a quick process at NVC.

I have a copy of his police certificate to submit to the NVC. He has the original for the interview and medical. I think there is an option to scan everything but I've been following the other NVC thread and feel like someone who did it electronically is being held up more than the mailers. I'm not sure that there is anything else he signs. I believe the next thing he signs is at the interview.

Ok thank you :) does he need a copy of my original birth certificate and my children's birth certificate as well for the interview? Or is that only if they too are immigranting with him?

Hey guys, my NOA2 was approved Oct 28 and case sent to NVC on Nov 3 but still no welcome letter/case #'s etc from them. Every time we call they say we need to wait 35 days before they will look into anything (standard useless nature!). Any idea how long it takes for the case to be processed?

Consider yourself lucky that they even sent it that fast. I recommend you call them at least a few times a week no that its been so long. You will get the NVC case number a lot faster over the phone than by waiting for the welcome letter.

I am on 2 weeks and still waiting for my case to be even sent to the NVC
