Oath letter

Hello vj members, just wanted to know about the questions on back of the oath letter. Did you answer the questions before you went to your oath ceremony or did you answer the questions when you arrived at your oath ceremony. The website said before you arrived but on the oath letter it said when you arrived at your oath ceremony, please filled out your answers on back of your oath letter. I am just wondering becaused I don't know if my wife should answer the questions in front of the IO. Thanks everyone.

When I went to the interview the officer told me to complete the questions before arriving to the ceremony but don't sign it since you will need to sign it in front of the officer that will accept your letter at the ceremony. I suggest answering the questions in the morning before the ceremony, that is what I am planning to do.

I'm happy you asked that question because I was wondering the same thing. My oath ceremony is in two weeks.

When I had my oath, I completed the questionnaire and signed it while standing in line to check in. The reason is I wanted to make sure nothing changes and I would be 100% truthful.

I decided to filled everything out and also sign it before we had gone into the building. I had read the instructions again and it did say that the oath letter questions must be filled out on the day of your oath. Before we went in for our oath, the IO told us to sign the letter and to date it.

I answered mine ahead of time and signed and date the day of the event. Make sure the city and state reflects where is your oath is...they will explained if you screwed up, just draw a line and cross it out
