Info needed Wife entered on approved Visa this week-How to apply for Green Gard and SSN

Hello. We need some advice please. Janny arrived this past week and we are having difficulty finding out where to apply for and pay for her green card*Permenent Resident card). We realize now that it would have been better to do so before she arrived. Any and all info would be greatly appreciated.

Easy stuff. like mentioned above, read the Ellis topic. lots of helpful information.

go there, follow instructions to login by creating a profile. Then it will ask you for basic information from your spouse. Have passport number handy and case number as well. Its literally at most 10 minutes. You'll need a credit/debit card to pay the $165 then and there. you'll receive greencard in 1 to 2 months. May vary. My uncle just went through this and I helped him do it.

in regards to the SSC, when you guys filled out the IV application at NVC, there is a question that asks if you would like SSC to be issued and mail upon entry to the US. im guessing ya'll checked of YES. Anyhow, my uncle did check yes but still decided to go with his wife to the SS Office 8 days after they arrive. They filled everything out there and social was in hand in a week.

JUst some insight based on experience. but im pretty sure this is standard procedure.

Meant SSC as an Social Security CARD. I dont think SSC stands for anything else. But yea, SSN.

I know what you meant, however with new people it's important to use the correct terminology so that when they read it here, it's the same throughout. Just like the office you visit is an SSA office. It's semantics but they can be important when there are a lot of people on a website that are foreign and english isn't a first language.
