Steps after Filing I-485

Timeline

Hello every one ,

my visa has been Approved, and now i`m in USA, me and my Fiance Got Married ,so now we become husband and Wife :P:) .

we submit the form for work Permit and I-864 , I-485 and I just Done my fingers Printing To day .

can any one help us about what are next steps ,or what to expect next??

is there any forms we have to apply after I-485 after ? or thats all?

Wait for the work permit card , interview ( some has expedited ) and green card.

Now you are in 'waiting' mode. No further immigration forms to fill out. You could chase a ssn if you are under 74 days of the poe date, else chase it after ead card in hand.

Darnell means, no you just need to wait until you receive any further notice. Have you obtained a social security number/card yet? Ideally, you should have gone to a social security office and applied for one once you entered the USA. If you have not applied for any yet, and it has been 74 days since the date you entered the USA and married your now spouse, you will have to wait until your EAD (I-765) is approved and arrives, then you can apply for one. Please read the guides for any further details, relax, and enjoy your new life.

thanks , yes i got social security number from home land security ,i did apply for work permit also, thank you for being helpful :)

You don't get a social security number from homeland security, you obtain one from the social security administration. :)

Yes, the form I-765 is what you would have filled out to apply for your EAD or work permit.

thank you so much for your help ,we got a notification from Immigration services that our app is on hold because we have to send them the I-864 for adjustment of status , because before we sent them the I 134 which not acceptable and we also sent copies of taxes and supporting things , just hope so everything will be all set for now :) thank you again
