Finally, I can breathe! Our interview was 9/25 and the Kingston Embassy required more documents from my fiance. This was a very rough time for the both of us because it seemed as if no one would give us any info as it pertained to our case. I contacted my Senator's office and got them involved, and I guess it worked! As of Monday the case creation date changed as well as immigrant to non immigrant.... I hope this is a good sign.

Congrats, CDiva! It should be a very good sign!

Our case changed to NIV and was in that status for 40 days, but I can assure you that the vast majority of cases change within a few days to "Issued"!!

You are one your way! Celebrate!

04/29/19 - New card being produced!
05/09/19 - USPS delivered green card! In hand now!

All I can say is NEVER give up!!! This has been a long process, and it could MAKE or BREAK a relationship. The people at the Embassy know how bad couples want to be together and they will try and test to see how strong some people are. My patience has been through the ultimate test, but I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Remember to be persistant, and never feel intimidated because WE are paying for a service, they are not giving us anything!!! Good luck to everyone!
